I had visited Spris in Midtown Miami when they first opened back in 2014 and decided to pop in again, nearly a decade later whilst staying in the Miami Design District, this is a fantastic Artisan Pizzeria with a warm and welcoming family friendly vybe and one that the locals definitely enjoy.
We were served by Yosbel who you will easily recognise with his āMillion Dollar Miami Smileā Yosbel was super friendly and seated us at the requested coolest (temperature wise) table in the house. His service was impeccable providing us with one house lemonade and a San Pellegrino Orange drink, with no time to waste we both ordered the āDiavola Pizzaā made with a spicy salame casalingo.
We sat back relaxing and taking in the cool laid-back atmosphere whilst watching the tables around us rapidly fill up with friends, families and couples, we were also able to watch chefs Frank & Valentino work their magic at the authentic woodfired brick oven.
There are pizzas and then there are Spris Pizzas these pizzas are truly amazing and a sensation to the palette with attention to the dough and quality of products used in the toppings being clear to taste, truly right up there with one of the best pizzas we have ever had.
I had to personally go up to the chefs Frank & Valentino and thank them for their amazing pizzas, this is a great team at the Midtown Spris and managed by a truly professional manager who thanked us for taking the time to appreciate his staff.

I should have taken it as a sign but the smell me me stayv
The food coming out of he kitchen looked and smelled amazing.
I started with the Originale Bruschetta and honestly was not impressed at all, everything looked beautiful but totally lacked any flavor. That came out pretty fast but that was about the only thing it took about 15 minute after that came out for anyone to even come over and check to see if I needed anything or ask how everything was.
Moving ahead to my main course I had Margherita pizza classica, I figured this was a good way to really taste the crust, the sauce a d the cheese. Well the pizza came out in less then 5 minutes. No spices were offered and before I could even ask no one was around. So honestly it was not great, the sauce lacked any flavor and the cheese was standard shredded cheese.
I was going to order the Nutella dessert but at this point I was already so disappointed I did not want to make my night worse.
I also need to say that 3 tables inside were used and maybe 4 tables outside and 6 staff members if people think I am being...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst and foremost putting basil on top of a cheese pizza does not make it a margarita. I'm begging you from the bottom of my heart either change the name to cheese pizza or change the recipe to an actual margarita pizza as someone that knows what a margarita pizza is and receives this monstrosity would be severely disappointed, which I was.
Next the pizza arrived on delivery ice cold. Not luke warm or tepid, straight up cold. I thought this was a mistake but after looking inside the box with instructions on how to reheat the pizza it became clear that that was not a mistake. Not sure what's more frustrating receiving a cold pizza or having to eat a reheated artisanal pizza which simply put doesn't hold. After reheating the pizza, as instructed to, the crust became inedible cardboard. I'm have no idea if this is normal for them but I have never once seen any pizza establishment pre-cook artisanal pizza. It's not only unheard of it's actually revolting and any chef worth their salt would know that.
On top of all that the French fries were a soggy greasy mess that more closely resembles mashed potatoes than french fries. We quite literally had to order food from another place bc we were hungry and neither of us could stomach...
