We photobombed the promo reel for @pastaebastamiami in Midtown on Saturday after we finished our delicious dinner. This hidden Midtown gem truly exceeded all my expectations. It is a haven for pasta lovers in Miami. The quality of the ingredients used in their dishes is impeccable, and I was delighted to find that the pasta didn’t leave me feeling bloated or uncomfortable. Their portion sizes were just right, leaving me perfectly satisfied with every bite.

As a dessert lover the highlight of the meal was definitely the Tiramisu, it was absolutely divine. I highly recommend Pasta e Basta for a romantic date night, especially with its charming patio in the back. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive to all our needs, making us feel at home. The ambiance was enhanced by the chill euro dance music playing at the perfect volume, allowing for easy conversation without having to shout. It’s not a big restaurant maybe 20 tables total, I love that because to me this speaks quality not quantity, its perfect. The decor is beautiful clean white with neutral & dark wood accents. The seating is comfortable and the staff does not rush you to finish like at some other places in Miami…

I am officially a huge fan of Pasta e Basta and can’t wait to return to try more items on their menu. The tiramisu alone is worth a visit! As someone very sensitive to gyphosate, atrazine and all pesticides, insecticides which cause bloating and extreme pain 15 minutes post meal the fact that I didn’t experience any bloating was a huge plus. If I bloat after eating somewhere I do not go back, my gut health is more important than a hot new spot to eat. This restaurant has won me over, not only with the quality and care of the ingredients but with the entire experience. I will be back and recommending it to all who are wanting to dine in Midtown. To add to the list they are dog friendly 🥰 I will be bringing my baby there. #pasta #italian #delicious #saturdaynight #datenight...

To begin with, I expected the experience they promoted, perhaps it was more glamor than flavor and authenticity. The Venezuelan girl at the bar and the waiters was the best thing I could take away from my experience in this place, unfortunately I don't remember her name. The starter Bruschetta Tricolore, very average, we continued with the Cacio e Pepe, quite strong in pepper, it was not bad but I would not order it again. The wine, not bad at all, we continued with my partner arriving at the place, I requested the change of the bar to the back, outside, I think the best area of the restaurant until some little friends showed up, good sized cockroaches, the problem itself was that my partner stopped having a good time because she was worrying about these insects not to get close to her, to the point that one passed between my legs and I had to step on it, I immediately filed my complaint with the person who seemed to be the manager, explained to me that they paid for the fumigation and that he was going to contact them immediately, I need to recognize they took my complaint seriously and I am grateful by offering me a Tiramisu on the house … my complaint was present not to get something free, I present my complaint because of the uncomfortable and disgusting experience for my girlfriend although I appreciate the attention, in the same way I did not accept anything else to eat, obviously. I immediately proceeded to ask for the bill and since I did not accept the free dessert they gave me 40% discount on the wine glasses, $34 Dlrs 0ff. To conclude, In my opinion if you are looking for authentic “” Italian food there are better places with better atmosphere and less hype than this one, does it have potential? Yes, but lacking of it at this moment. Also Nobody cared to sweep up and take our little friend...

The food and overall experience were quite impressive, though not without a minor drawback. The dishes we tried were absolutely delicious, marked by unique flavors and freshness. We ordered one appetizer and two entrées to share, and each dish was distinct and memorable.

Surprisingly, the vegetable lasagna stood out the most, especially to a hardcore meat eater like myself. It was rich, well-balanced, and incredibly flavorful. The layers of pasta, cheese, and vegetables came together in a way that was both satisfying and indulgent. This dish alone is worth a visit.

The portion sizes were generous, fitting for sharing, and the staff was very attentive. We visited at an awkward hour of the day, which meant the restaurant was less crowded and our food arrived quite quickly.

The inside and outside seating areas offered a nice, relaxed atmosphere, and the restaurant didn't feel crowded. However, the condition of the chairs and stools requires attention. The fabric on the seating is prone to absorbing dirt and stains, leading to visible dirty spots that were immediately noticeable. For such a nice establishment, this aspect was a bit of a letdown.

Despite the issue with the seating, Pasta e Basta's culinary offerings are excellent, and the restaurant's service is commendable. I'd recommend it for the food alone, particularly the vegetable lasagna. My advice to the restaurant would be to address the cleanliness of the seating to enhance the overall dining experience. With this improvement, Pasta e Basta could easily be a top-rated dining...

Pasta e Basta is the kind of spot you stumble upon and immediately wonder how you didn’t know about it sooner. The food truly tastes like the home country—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Our server, Mirko, was not only knowledgeable about the dishes but also spoke both Italian and Spanish, adding to the authentic feel. We decided to share three dishes, which was the best decision—it gave us a range of flavors from their menu. The pasta was perfectly cooked, sauces rich and balanced, and the tiramisu was an unforgettable sweet finish. The garden patio is lively and vibrant, while the indoor space feels more intimate and chic—so you can choose your vibe depending on the night. Parking is on the street (paid or, if you’re lucky, near the residences on the west side). Walk-ins are welcomed, and they always have weekend specials that are worth asking about. Other diners rave about the Carbonara, Amatriciana, and Vegetarian Lasagna, and I can see why—every plate is carefully made. We also appreciated their thoughtful wine list, which even included kosher wine, a rare touch that really stood out. The service is warm and consistent—our experience was echoed by other reviewers who mentioned the staff and even the manager go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you’re in Midtown and craving real Italian pasta, this place is a must. Whether you sit on the bustling patio or inside for a cozier evening, Pasta e Basta delivers an authentic Italian dining experience that feels both special and inviting.
