Pummarola Midtown "Pizza Napoletana" — Restaurant in Miami

To start I love your food, been there and order more than 50 times since I started going years ago. But how UBER deals with your customers is horrible. I’m not sure how things work if uber brings the problems with order to you or how it works but it leaves sooo much to be desired. And over such a minor thing. It’s ridiculous.

On July 31, 2025, I placed an $87.91 order through Uber Eats from Pummarola (Miami, FL), order #816E9. One item, a $12.40 Nutella pizza with extra strawberries, was delivered incorrectly — I received a focaccia instead. I was celebrating my anniversary with my girl and she wanted something sweet. She was disappointed that was she wanted didn’t arrive. I filed a complaint through the Uber Eats app the same day, including photos, and expected a resolution or at least an update. I never received an email or in-app message indicating whether my complaint was approved or denied, and no refund was issued.

When I contacted Uber Eats support recently (9 days after) to ask what happened with my ticket, I was transferred multiple times and told they “can’t do anything after 48 hours.” I was not attempting to open a new ticket — only to be informed of the resolution to the existing one — but they refused to provide any information. I believe this 48-hour policy is being used to avoid accountability, leaving customers without recourse or transparency. For a nearly $90 order, it is unacceptable to have an error go unresolved and for customer service to withhold the outcome of a valid same-day complaint. I have the receipt and photos of the incorrect item and am requesting proper follow-up an a resolution. When uber charges $27.51 in fees between the 10.75 service fee, 2.49 priority fee , 1.49 delivery fee , the $7.94 tip to their underpaid drivers. You would think they would provide a lil better service. Unbelievable.

This Is what was filed with the better business bureau against uber, did everything I could with Uber support. To be treated like a nuisance, I just though you might want to know how your client are being treated in your name. And the worst part is that I know that if this would have happened in person, it would have been resolved immediately.

So if anyone gets this far, I suggest you go in person and enjoy their delicious food. If there a problem with an order reach out directly, because anything will be better than reaching out into the void...
