I was really excited to visit Bella Piercing to treat myself to a birthday gift yesterday. I normally go to Evolved for all of my piercings, but they've had some controversies over the last few months and I didn't want to support them. I've been following Bella Piercing on Instagram for a while now and I was super excited to see the space in person. My experience getting my piercing was great but everything after being in the chair was a mess. I booked an $85 piercing for both of my lobes that said it included jewelry, only to get there and find out it was just a silver stud and the gold option was an extra $35 per piece of jewelry (an extra $70 total). I ultimately chose another option but by the end of the appointment with tip I spent $160+ and I was shocked, that's double the price of what I booked!! I understand that jewelry is always an extra charge, things are expensive right now, and that small businesses are struggling, but a lack of transparency in the pricing left a very sour taste in my mouth. I paid and left because I didn't want to cause any trouble and I convinced myself that I just didn't ask enough questions but now I feel much differently.
This morning I woke up and the jewelry in one of my piercings had fallen out. I couldn't find the back in my bed so in the meantime I put in another earring and waited until they were open to call. When 12 PM rolled around I called and explained the situation and they said they would charge me half the price of the jewelry to replace the back if I couldn't find it. I never touched my piercing after the appointment except to clean it, so I don't feel like I should have the bear the cost of it not being screwed on tight enough. After reading through some reviews I've seen people experience the same thing! The whole experience has made me feel like this place is a bit of a cash grab.
I've paid extensively for other piercings and tattoos, I understand how the pricing works - but at any other place I've been to I've experienced a lot more empathy in the aftercare process. I've had piercings done too short and tattoos not finished correctly and the establishment has always taken the responsibility to correct mistakes and make me feel like a valued customer. It feels ridiculous that just because I didn't pay for the extra $35 piercing insurance that I would be changed for something like this.
Bella Piercing is still a cute and very clean establishment, but I don't see...
Read moreCame in originally to get new jewelry for my tragus piercing After falling out. They had asked me if I had the original piece of jewelry in which I did not so they could not replace the jewelry for me for free. I was understanding, I had asked them if they thought that it would need to be reopened. The lady at the front desk helping me seemed very unsure. She also seemed very unsure about the different jewelry and flat out, told me that she was new there and didn’t know. I continued to trust the process, she also mentioned buy one get one half off jewelry so I had let her know that my cartilage needed new jewelry, but I didn’t know if it needed reopened, again seemed unsure. Both my piercings had been without jewelry for I’d say roughly 3-4 weeks.( I made this known). I went through with the process, my tragus came out perfect, but my cartilage on the other hand I was upset with. I asked if it would be okay with getting a hoop again, I knew the gauge was bigger, hints why I wanted to clarify. Said it would be okay, I would say that same night, my cartilage was throbbing and it felt like it was instantly rejecting. Even though I spent $200 on the entire service and jewelry, the pain was unbearable. Over all, the Woman piercing my ears, did a good job, but the lady at the front desk seemed so unsure and didn’t grab her for an opinion either before agreeing to put a hoop in my ear. Part of me felt like it was my fault for asking for the hoop, but I know the professional should’ve been the one to know what’s best. This is not my first time going to Bella, I would say the quality of jewelry is better compared to the past few years, but it would’ve been better if there was more confidence from the employees considering it’s A...

I was very pleased with their customer service and quickness in finding a solution for us. We were able to get the correct cleaning solution as well as their Emu oil. I would have to say Emu oil from Bella was a game changer in healing my daughter’s piercing as well as the chemical burn in a matter of 24 hours I could see the results. What happened was unfortunate but they kept their word on all the things they promised to do for us in order to rectify our experience. Their customer service is superior and that really makes a difference.
PREVIOUS REVIEW: I had my 4 month old ear pierced here and Leyla was very sweet and I think she did a good job with the piercing. We picked the Bella baby package for $200 which came with the aftercare spray and after 2 days spraying on my baby ear we noticed a really bad rash on one ear near the piercing and then it turned into a full blown chemical burn in most of the bottom part of her ear that’s now scabbed over. We discontinued use of their spray and had to get a gentle saline spray. I wish they did not have aftercare spray with all those toxic ingredients including menthol, especially not for little babies. My baby girl is so traumatized and hates every time we touch her ears to clean it. People with either sensitive skin or small babies beware of their menthol...
