GreyStone Tattoo Company — Attraction in Mifflin Township

This was my first tattoo studio experience, and wow, what a fantastic experience I had. Katy did such an amazing job on my tattoo and was so patient with me. I had a pretty vague-ish idea to start with. I wanted a tattoo inspired by my favorite childhood (and still adulthood I suppose) book series, the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. I had 3 elements I wanted for sure: a mouse, a sword, and a rose not fully in bloom. But I also said I was open to adding a ribbon of tapestry, the words "I AM THAT IS" and a shield. I basically gave her creative freedom (and a very rough sketch for a potential layout) and would not know the design until I walked through the doors of GreyStone Tattoo Company.

She blew me away, as she essentially redid my sketch (but much better) while also incorporating all of the elements I suggested, not just the 3 I really wanted. She did two versions, and I liked her version (a bit different than mine) so much better, so we went with that.

She answered my questions and was a great conversationalist. But most importantly, she did such an amazing job designing my tattoo and even more importantly, an amazing job of actually doing the tattoo. She was super understanding of a misunderstanding we had regarding whether or not I wanted the tattoo in color (I had considered getting two parts of it in color but changed my mind and decided to stick with black/grayscale). This would affect the initial quote she gave me in that I would pay less, but I still gave her the highest tip for her work.

I am in love with my new tattoo, and I absolutely plan on coming back for whenever my next tattoo idea comes to me.

I took my first step into the tattoo world when entering Greystone and Alex was the one to greet me and made me feel more than welcome! I was very particular about getting a tattoo to cover up some ink mistakes I made in my youth. I was literally searching for years for the right place and person to do what I wanted done since this was my first professional tattoo. This place was it. Clean place and kind people.

Alex was the person that did my tattoo. I couldn't be happier. Firm hand shake and eye contact (Those things mean something to me). From the time we met the experience has been great. He helped with decisions on colors and everything. His attention to detail is top notch. Will definitely be getting my second done by him.
