Pssst, buddy... I hope you don't mind my gentle observation, but you're gettin' kinda doughy. I'm not into fat shaming, mind you. But you gotta admit, there may be a problem brewing:
When you get winded tying your shoelaces.
When you start sweating because you've been chewing to fast.
When you complain that even spandex doesn't have enough stretch nowadays.
If the above scenarios don't bother you, then go in peace.
But if you want limitless energy, newfound confidence (bordering on arrogance), and don't mind shedding a few pounds in the process, then have I got a something for you!
Kickboxing classes at One Martial Arts!
We're talking about one of the most stimulating, efficient, and fun ways for you to get in gear and get healthy. In just one short hour, the instructors at One Martial will challenge you, work you past the point of exhaustion, and have you seeing all sorts of crazy extinct animals and glittery shapes in your euphoric exercise-induced delirium.

How about the added value of complimentary child-care during your class? That's right! One Martial Arts has backed wifey me into a corner by giving us absolutely NO excuse not to exercise. The wife and I get our workouts in, and our son loves going because he knows he'll always be entertained by the kid-friendly staff and more toys than we could ever possibly buy for him.
Still not sure?
How about One Martial's no-commitment and no BS enrollment. Drop in, pay by the class, pay monthly or any combination thereof. There's no hidden enrollment fees, application fees, or extra fees of any kind. Pay when you want, quit when you want.
But what about variety? 24-hour Fitness next door has a pool, free-weights, basketball court, yada, yada...
You plan on using any of that regularly?? Nuff' said. If you want the Walmart of exercise experiences, go 24-hour.
If you want a great workout that will challenge you every time, with like-minded and fun people, in a clean and friendly environment, look no further than One Martial Arts.
Leave the dough at Paris Baguette down the street.

Read moreThe kickboxing classes at One Martial Arts are fantastic. Cardio and bag classes. I live in SF and attend the SF Taraval Street location. It's been two years now. Since the shutdown in March 2020, I do the Cardio Kickboxing classes via Zoom. Here is why I love it. I am in my 60s. I do a bit of walking, but felt I needed more cardio, and also strength and conditioning. These classes do it all. Warmup. Cardio. Strength training. Today we worked on balance too. The stretch at the end is the best part. Body, mind and spirit. In one hour you have it all. I can't wait until I can go back to hitting a bag when SF studio opens up, but the pivot to online zoom classes this past year has saved me. I will continue it. Lastly, let me give a shout out to the amazing staff. Professor Brannon is motivating. But he's not motivating you, he is teaching you how to motivate yourself, how to push yourself. Sophia and K'wan are excellent instructors as well, and everyone knows how to push us but make it fun. All the instructors know how to spot you and give you friendly corrections even via Zoom. Michelle who works behind the desk/behind the scenes has always been the most professional. OK, one more lastly, there is an outdoor cardio kickboxing class on Saturdays in Millbrae as well. Great to get out of the city, take a short drive and exercise outdoors. Try the cardio kickboxing at One Martial Arts, it is fun and energizing, and will get you in great...
Read moreIt’s been almost 2 years since we have been with OMA in Millbrae and I’m so glad we signed up. Not only does my son learn martial arts but he is thought discipline and other topics such as respect, strangers, teamwork, bullies, etc. When he was in Kinder, we had to apply what he learned at school. I was driving him home and asked how was his day and he was in tears while telling me how another kid in school smashed his food in his lunch box. I asked him what did he do when that happened and he said I told him I didn’t like it and just cried. At the moment I reminded him of what we learned at OMA and bullies don’t care if you don’t like it, tell him to stop and leave you alone or you will tell the teacher. Since he’s been with OMA I see the difference in his confidence. This was once a kid who would stand in line and all these kids would cut in front of him and he just stood. But the other day, he was waiting in line with his younger brother while I stood 20 ft away and a couple kids walked in front of him, he said to them politely “we are waiting in line”. I was so proud of him to speak up for himself. We love the instructors there especially professor and Sifu Dela Cruz. I admire the patience they have and best part is, they are really nice but firm with the kids reminding them constantly on making the right choice. Now he just needs to apply a bit more confidence...
