Belk — Attraction in Milledgeville

New to the area; it's hard to believe this is upscale shopping. The lady at Estee Lauder counter was very helpful. The female that worked in lingerie and children's clothing was absolutely the least friendly and helpful in the store. I asked her two questions, she answered the second one finally without a smile. I asked her to hold a about $100.00 in costume jewelry that I had picked out. I told her I was walking to the boys Dept and would return in less than 5 minutes. I was gone 3 minutes. When I returned, she was selling my jewery to another customer. Luckily I was able to stop her. She NEVER apologized; never offered one word nor one smile. She was the exact same way to the customer that tried to buy the jewelry. I will not shop in her area again. She was an older black lady with medium length hair. This is supposedly the best Milledgeville has to offer. ...

Stopped in last night to browse and found some good deals in boys clothing. Staffing still seems thin but that’s everywhere right now. The temperature was very warm in the store and they had a big fan on in cosmetics; not sure if the problem lies with Belk, the mall owner or not being able to get what is needed for repair. Fans around the store tells me that management is aware of problem and is trying to help. Awful customer service. They claim to have several discounts so my husband and I waited at their jewelry counter for about 5 minutes for someone to help us, several clerks walked by and did nothing but look at us and when we waived one down she just looked at us and then ignored us. We moved away to their perfume counter and a clerk enters behind the counter, I tried talking to her and she shuts me down raising her hand, says she's not working and proceeds to walking away to keep chatting with her other...
