My go to and favorite market for the last 10 years has been the Mountain View Farmers' Market. If I have plans on Sundays, I choose to go to the Sunnyvale's on Saturdays. I wanted to see how Milpitas Farmers' Market compares to the two and if it could cover our necessities as well. I must say I was surprised to see the number of vendors although it is not as big and varied as the MV's. I was also hoping to find more certified organic products, but that is not so. Still, it is a viable option if you do not want to buy waxed apples, cucumbers, zucchinis, or vegies that sit spoiled and moldy on the grocery store shelves. The highlight of my visit to this market today was freshly caught mackerel and sardines from Monterey Bay ($4/ lbs each), which I gutted myself; no big deal, I am used to it. They also had a type of huge rockfish, which the vendor said they would clean. There are ready to eat food vendors, two or three bakery vendors as well. There is a lady who sells eggs, too; I think she sells at the MV as well. Although I arrived way too late, the vendors still had plenty of produce to sell. I am grateful to be living in a farming state and having options and access to many farmers' markets around us. Thanks to all who make the markets possible during Rain or Shine or Storm!

This market is year-round. It's slower in the winter but very lively in Spring and Summer. It's a great place to get reasonably priced fresh fruit & vegetables (>5 stalls), eggs (1 stall), fish (1), bread (1), honey (1), and fresh flowers/orchard. There are no meat or dairy here. As of March 2017, there are a couple of food trucks starting to show up as well, in addition to a coffee vendor. And best of all, there is almost always live music. Tip: It's located near the MacDonald's. Great Mall gets busy after 11AM, so come before that to avoid the crowd and parking headaches.

I go here every Sunday for fresh produce and dry roasted peanuts. They are the absolute best! Edit.. Please beware when buying fish from here, i bought 3 pounds of what they call king fish from the fish seller at the farmers market today, and after cleaning i noticed there are worms coming out of the flesh!! The produce has been really nice, so i wont take away any stars but im definitely not buying fish from there ever again!

This market is smaller compared to Sunnyvale or Mountain View but parking is much easier since it is at the mall, and if you in the morning you will not be competing with mall shoppers for parking. I had my mom with me so this made it much easier, as we didn’t have to park far away.

Don’t let size or # of stalls fool you however! I went today after a long time and found a lot of fresh produce. One thing that this location is really good for is variety of greens, I think many Asians would appreciate it. And you get the usual items like onions, broccoli, cabbage etc. not too many stands with tomatoes this time but there was one that had nice ones on the vine. Lots of choices for citrus fruits.

Non produce stalls included baked goods like pastry and bread, roasted peanuts, popcorn, fish, eggs and hummus.

Brothers, is the stall that had hummus, pita chips , baklava …very nice people and they allowed samples. The dips were very tasty. And they had some unique flavors of lebneh which I will plan to get in next visit. This time I got cilantro hummus and a baklava sampler. It was not cheap but I like to support local businesses as well as quality food, there no preservatives in the...

On my visit to California USA from India, was staying in Milpitas where I came to know, neighborhoods farmer's market takes place and opens near Great Mall Milpitas. It's on every Sunday from 7am to 1pm. Went there on date and it's quite a big one. With lots of vegetable produce by the farmer's with all types of vegetables and green leaves. Varieties of Mushrooms, fruits mostly different types of oranges, mandarins, apples, peers, blue berries, strawberries 🍓. Lots of food carts are also there for quenching your hunger. Overall excellent farmer's market where I purchased Guavas, fresh Coriander and Mushrooms. Tasted...
