Decent prices. Similar to what you would pay online.
Store used to be a great place for vintage games. They currently have WAY TOO MANY DVDs. Why do you need 12 copies of Talledega nights and Sex in the City? No one is going to buy these. Don't buy DVDs if you do not need them. It literally takes up half of their store. Counter tops that were once clean and full of video games and gadgets are covered in endless DVD cases. A young kid can barely see the video game accessories wall because of the 3 foot high stack of DVD cases on the counter that they are behind.
In terms of old games, I understand it depends a lot on what people bring in, but it's pretty much just sports games. I remember a few years ago they had a very large N64 collection in the front case. Now its relegated to a small side case. About 70%+ of the inventory was old sports games. Unless it's an arcade game like NBA Jam, no one is going into Disc Replay to pick up 7 copies of Quarterback Club 99.
There's still a decent modern game collection. You'll get pretty good prices here about the same or a bit cheaper than GameStop used games. There's still a decent DS, 3DS, PS4, XB1, Switch, GB/GBC/GBA, and Wii collection. The high demand games are scarce though.
The employees are knowledgeable, but they kind of just stand around when the store is a disaster. It just needs to be cleaned up and a get a revamped inventory management system, and it would get 5 stars. I'd like to see it go back to the...
Read moreI work for Gamestop but being thrifty with money I wanted to shop around my 360 before selling. I was told I could not get a quote over the phone but they were buying. Upon going in I was quoted a price within 5 minutes. Sadly it was a little lower than I would have liked, but business is business and I can't fault them for that. However, the speed and honesty was appreciated.
In turn, I went to Michiana Used Music and Media who had given me the same line over the phone 'We're buying but you have to bring it in'. Upon arriving there I was stopped at the door by two gentlemen smoking who looked in my bag and very quickly stated they couldn't take in an older model system (even though an hour earlier I had called and they said they had). At that point I was a little frustrated and said "I wish you would have told me that over the phone". In return, I got a very sarcastic "ehh, I'm sorry?" and both men laughed.
As a result, If your shopping around I would recommend Gamestop (of course) or Disc Replay. Stay away from...
Read moreI’ve had good experiences in the past but recently, in the past 3-5 months, things have not been so great. The employees during my 6:00pm visit were very seclusive though the store didn’t close for 2 hours. My couple of simple requests seemed excessive to them which made me want to just walk out with my few brought-in items for sale which I agreed to selling after they gave me a not-so-seldom price for. (I wouldn’t have sold except for the fact that every time I come in, I find something that I want and can take a little of the price-point off). Thus said, the employees need instructions on customer service. As someone who spends a good deal of money at this place in a single month on entertainment, the not so friendly employees have made me consider selling and buying from the store you know about which is less than a mile down the road and buys the stuff I’ve sold at a good price and sells the stuff I want at a comparable and competitive price as...
