I recently shopped at Clothes Mentor to purchase business attire for an important trip to meet members of Congress in Washington, D.C., and my experience was exceptional. This was the last stop in my 10 hour long expedition of coming up short of success. I'd only stopped here on a gamble after TJ Maxx was unsuccessful, and I couldn't have been more thrilled with the result.
The quality of the second-hand clothing was outstanding, to the point where I received numerous compliments on the suit I had put together. People were shocked to learn that it only cost me $35 for a jacket, pants, and shirt, as they thought it looked like it cost hundreds of dollars. The great quality was a definite standout.
What impressed me the most about Clothes Mentor was their extensive collection of professional clothing. It was the most comprehensive selection I've ever come across at a second-hand store. From suits to blouses and accessories, they had it all, making it easy for me to find exactly what I needed.
They were unbelievably affordable. Each piece I bought was under $16, and the value for money was exceptional. It was like getting Walmart prices for J-Crew quality items. I couldn't have been happier with the pricing.
The staff at Clothes Mentor were also a pleasure to interact with. They were extremely friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience enjoyable. Their assistance in finding the right pieces was invaluable, and I appreciated their dedication to customer service.
One particular highlight for me was the collection of blazers. The variety and quality of blazers available truly blew my mind. If you're in need of professional attire, this store is a hidden gem.
In conclusion, I'll definitely be returning to Clothes Mentor for my future clothing needs, and I've already started recommending them to friends and colleagues. It's rare to find a second-hand store with such great quality, selection, and affordability. If you're in search of business attire or any stylish clothing on a budget, this is the...
Read moreAlthough I had read the negative reviews on this business, I had to experience it firsthand. I, too, had the same disappointing experience and it is this: you have any stylish, name-brand clothing in good condition, irrespective of age that you purchased at a higher-end store, they will NOT make the "cut." On the other hand, if you have polyester in garish patterns purchased at a discount store, chances are they WILL make the "cut." I say that because the latter is what this store carries in abundance. And, if you have any items that the designer deliberately "aged" such as Ash wedge sneakers, Michael Kors suede wedges, or Sam Edelman's suede pumps, don't expend your energy bringing to this store. They are not familiar with those designers and their vision. However, if you have any khaki pleated shorts, bring them in. (Yes, they bought my 10-year old khaki pleated shorts. Who knew?!) I thought I would be the exception; rather, I was the rule. Mediocrity reigns at...
Read moreRude and dishonest customer service đ I brought clothes in this past Wednesday after I called and spoke with someone at the store and unfortunately I did not ask her name the day before stating I was going to bring items in the next day. I get there and they tell me they are not taking anything and I explained that I called and let whoever know I was coming on Wed. The person looked at me like I was lying and took my information to look at the items I brought in. I thought all good. 20 minutes later I got the text "Your clothes mentor drop-off is READY" . The lady tells me they "passed " on all of it, stating that it's mostly juniors) which it was not because I know that they don't take those sizes . Well when I got the basket home I realized that they NEVER went through the basket! Everything was still folded how I put it in the basket. Why lie? Very disappointing. Like other people have also stated: Very Rude...
