I recently took a 30-minute walk from Old Fisherman's Wharf to explore the Del Monte Shopping Centre.
This bustling hub is clearly a popular destination for locals, offering a wide variety of stores and amenities.
From major retailers like Sephora, Lululemon and Macy's to speciality shops for clothing, cooking, and furniture, there's something for everyone. The shopping centre also features a movie theatre, making it a great place for a day of shopping and entertainment.
I was particularly impressed by the variety of food options available. Whether you're craving a quick snack or a full meal, you'll find plenty of choices to satisfy your appetite. The shopping centre is well-organized, with ample parking and sheltered walkways that make it easy to navigate.
For pet lovers, there's a large pet store with a wide selection of supplies. You can also find a pharmacy with a comprehensive range of medications and a supermarket like Whole Foods, offering organic produce, prepared foods, and a vast selection of salads.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the Del Monte Shopping Centre. It's a convenient and enjoyable place to spend a day, whether you're a local...
Read moreAs a local Monterey county resident I can say without hesitation or doubt that Del Monte shopping center really isn't that great. The mall is poorly laid out in split levels and the parking situation is terrible. Parking spaces are very tight and poorly laid out. This shopping centre is also not handicapped friendly. The layout and design makes it very difficult for people using a wheelchair or walker. The main area of the mall where Macy's is located can be extremely difficult to access from the back area parking lot if you are handicapped. A person must go into Macy's and use the elevator if they want access to the other stores in the Mall. Just hope the elevator is functional. This Mall also has a problem with the homeless panhandling and becoming aggressive. It can be very annoying. I myself really don't find anything that great about Del Monte shopping centre that would make me want to visit the boring place. The restaurants are below average and the stores and botiques aren't that great. Boring mall that I rate below average. In the 70's and 80's is when this mall actually had decent places to...
Read moreI went to Magic Nails, located in the Del Monte Center in Monterey, CA in May 2014. I got the worst pedicure. The equipment and chemicals they use are not sterile. The woman who gave me the pedicure, scrubbed my feet until they were raw. I had to limp out of the store to my car. It was determined, after several dr.'s visits that they scrubbed my feet so deeply that they damaged a nerve in my foot. I have contacted Magic Nails, located in the Del Monte Center, several times to get a refund, at the very least, and they hang up on me. I have asked for their manager's name and address so that I could send them a letter and they won't give me this information. All in all, don't go to this crack shack unless you want to lose 10 fingers/toes on your hands and/or feet from being soaked in a cesspool of disease ridden water. If you do read this review and decide to go to Magic Nails, located in the Del Monte Center, I would suggest you contact Erin Brockovich afterwards as a class action lawsuit will soon be filed putting this disease ridden cesspool crack shack out...
