Oak Newton Park — Attraction in Monterey

Food is excellent!!!! However the service should match the $$$ and style of the cuisine. Pay attention!!! know the menu! Up-Sell come on!!! Put more than 1 dish of oil on the table and more than 1 piece of bread for each guest!!!! Martinis were poured short!!!! Big Big bummer! Now a good server would say something to the bartender! Or he spilt half of it walking down the stairs..!! 👎 Freezing out you would think a server or busser would move some heat lamps over (right) ? Called service guys!!! Our waiter was scrambled in a hurry..our busser was horrible and RUDE when we asked for more bread!!! We weren't at your Restaurant as tourists! Oak Newton Park is a big open grassy park with lots of picnic tables, restrooms, drinking water fountain, and 2 playgrounds. A small paved concrete path winds through the park and connects to the residential sidewalk of the surrounding neighborhood.

The open grassy area and paths are a popular spot for dog walkers and a lot of people let their dogs off leash here.

This park is absolutely beautiful! 🌲💕 The trees are low to the ground, they remind me of the trees in the swamps. 😍😍😍 I’m a tree hugger so this is place is home!

⚠️Beware⚠️…. Late night you may see a deer 🦌 or two roaming in the park…. But the deers we saw were baby deers so don’t be too afraid but always know the Mama deer won’t be too far away. Lol

Overall, it’s a beautiful park. People walk their dogs here so for all my pet parents, let’s always clean up after our fur babies...
