LATE UPDATE: They did reach back out to me and after working with a gentleman (can’t remember his name) and going through all their transactions, we found out that they had issue a credit but it was credited to the wrong card which had the same amount that they charged me for. Anyways, since I had already filed a claim with my bank, I just let the bank handle the rest since they weren’t able to do anything else because I had already filed a claim unless I cancelled my claim with my bank.
I don't typically write reviews unless a service/business super exceed their services or they messed up. In this case, we rented from this business two days straight in a row. On the first day, everything was fine. I was charged correctly and paid for that day. Excellent services first day! On the second day, when we returned our bikes back after our 2 hour ride, the lady who was helping us check back in couldn't find me in the system. So, she decided to recreate a new transaction for me since she couldn't figure out what happened. I was a little hesitate since when we first arrived my card was taken to registered our rental but she assured me that it shouldn't be an issue since I wasn't in the system. Well guess what?? The following day, I checked my account and found out that I got charged twice for that day. One amount for $70 and another for $85. I called that same day and spoke with the same lady that had help me checked back in yesterday and another gentleman. They were really nice and she explain to the gentleman that she remember working with me yesterday and I was correct and there shouldn't have been two separate charges. They confirmed the correct charges with me, which was for the total amount of $85 and said they'll refund the $70 that I did not authorize. Well.. 3 weeks has gone by and no refund so I decided to file a claim with my bank to dispute this...
Read moreMy husband booked a private tour online for our family. Victor, our tour guide, was very patient and accommodating to our needs, specifically mine because I'm new to e-bikes. Fitting is a bit tricky with me, but he was able to find one that would have worked. However, I wasn't comfortable enough to ride it. So he recommended the trike. I was nervous at first but I was more willing to try it. He took us in the back to practice first and gave us the basics before hitting the bike trail. We took it slow at first for my benefit. He took us to the coast guard station and gave us some history lesson of the area and interesting info on the marine life around this area. I dreaded our trip back but he continued to be very patient with us, stopping along the way to check on us. Once I started to feel more comfortable with maneuvering the trike and around people, we continued to Lover's Point. The ride to that place was a lot better and relaxing. I was able to look around to check my surroundings and check out the variety of foliage, flowers and trees. We stopped in other areas as well, but I will not discuss those places here to keep it a surprise for his next customers. We stopped at the beach/cove at Lover's Point. I hung out there while the rest of my crew went a little farther, riding on the shared road with other vehicles. Afterwards, Victor took us back to the shop safe and sound! Thanks, Victor, for a great adventure! My family had...
Read moreWe were so fortunate on the Coast Road tour in Big Sur to have perfect weather, the best electric mountain bikes, and the most patient, knowledgable and generous guide with Joaquin. This is one of those "bucket list" type trips with amazing scenery, history, and challenges.
I did 4 stars not 5 simply because the ride was almost too difficult to enjoy at times. The first third of the ride is a long steep hill on a rutted, winding, loose gravel road. Somewhat dangerous with cars racing down. The last 2/3's of the way before you turn around, there were a couple smaller hills but the road was much better, the views were spectacular, and and the ride pleasurable.
Unless you are younger and a strong rider, even with eBikes I would be cautious of the first part of the ride. I got tired halfway down the steep hill at the end on the way back because it winds a lot and is long causing your arms to tire. With the gravel and ruts you can't just glide down. It's slow going with constant braking. Joaquin was a gracious host and rode ahead then picked us up with the jeep.
So my only suggestion would be to start the ride at the top of the first hill so that inexperienced to medium riders can you can enjoy a longer ride on...
