I highly recommend Color Me Mine Montgomeryville for all ages including those who are sensory seeking and sensory limited!
Me and my 9 year old’s first time was a Sunday evening and it was busy but the staff made our first time so enjoyable with how helpful and kind they were to us it didn’t even feel like they were busy.
I saw a Winnie the Pooh inspired honey pot finished on the top shelf and asked when they would have that item again to paint—they didn’t have an answer for me but said they could put an order in and take my name and number.
Fast forward to only a few weeks later, I got a phone call saying they had the saying pot again and that they could put one to the side for me to come in and purchase/paint. My 9 year old and I went back in that night on a Tuesday to paint which surprisingly was also half off studio price day, and we were the only ones there. Winning all the way around.
Because of it not being busy and their continued kindness and seeing on their calendar that the next day was toddler Wednesdays ($1 studio fee for 5 and under) I decided to try it out. Which leads us to today—we brought our nonverbal autistic 2.5 year old in and it was absolutely perfect for him. We were the only ones there which was a huge plus, it wasn’t loud, he was able to have his snack and drink with him. There was a selection of chairs for him, we put him in the restaurant style high chair. I was able to help him paint since he isn’t quite there yet, and we were even able to get his hand prints on his project with access to a huge sink to wash the paint off right away!
Loved all three of our experiences there and plan on coming back as...
Read moreI took my daughter and son to this location on 2/16/24. I received a call 2 weeks later that they had accidentally broke my daughters item. I asked if she could come in to make another one and they responded they do not have the same piece but will call me back to let me know if they will be getting more. A week went by with no call back, I stopped in the store to pick up my son’s item and asked about the broken item. They said it should be in shortly and they would call me. I waited a month and again they did not call. Today, 3/28/24, I called and asked for an update, no item but they should have it shortly. I asked if I could bring her in to pick out another replacement item, I was told yes. I went over to the store and there were multiple open tables, I was told my daughter couldn’t paint an item because there was a wait and they didn’t know how long it would be (no one was waiting in the store). I explained the situation and that I called and drove my kids over there, the manager did not care. I left and took my kids to the Panera next door, walked past color me mine 30 minutes later and counted 7 open tables, the place was basically empty. I will not be returning to...
Read moreWhat an awesome experience! I purchased a ceramic Christmas Tree in December of 2021. I didn’t get around to painting it until August of 2022. The painting experience was so much fun. I was a little nervous at first, but the to go kits come with instructions. My kit came with lots of paint (my choice of colors), tree, base, two paint brushes, the instructions, all in a sturdy box. I have finally dropped it off at their studio and it is in the process of getting fired or whatever they call that. Hemali is very very kind and has been helping me all month long. While I thought that the Christmas tree kit was expensive, I didn’t realize that after they fire it up, they supply the light bulbs and the lights for the tree. They personally make sure each light fits in the hole. They truly go above and beyond for their customers. I can’t wait to see the end result!
Also, I asked her if she had any stock of llamas (I love llamas) and she went out of her way to purchase llamas for the studio for the customers. I can not wait to get my hands on them! She said they were selling a lot of them...
