Iron Thunder Saloon & Grill - Mooresville — Restaurant in Mooresville

Was the worst sports bar/restaurant experience I have ever had. I waited 30 mins before I was helped. When we got our appetizers it was nachos with bbq pork, the pork was ice cold. When we got our dinner my brother got a hamburger of the month and I got boneless chicken. My brother could only eat half of his burger bc it tasted so bad I could only eat 2 of the boneless wings bc it tasted like rubber. When the waitress asked if we wanted it boxed up we both said no immediately but she apparently had no questions as to why we barely touched our food. The waitress as nice as she was would forget everything we asked for and had an excuse each time why she didn't get it. My brother and I was there to watch the ufc fight and there was more waitress then people so we thought we would get great service. The waitress asked if we would like to close with her because she was leaving for the night my brother and I totally understood our mother being a waitress for 25 years we understand when your shifts up u want to go home. So we payed our bill and thought she would introduce us to our next server never happened. As my brother goes to the bathroom he sees our waitress drinking at the bar, which was a shock to us because she explained to us she had to go home. 1 hour later the second waitress comes over to ask if we need anything both my brother and I said no thank you,where she then rolled her eyes and huffed like we were an inconvenience to her. And after all this " fun " experience my brother and I were both sick for 2 days with food poisoning after eating there. So please if looking for a sports bar with good food and the ufc fight AVOID THE...

So this is the deal, it should not be a surprise to you what to expect. This is a bar, with bar food. Now, I will say that we only had 2 appetizers because their oven was broken so what we wanted they couldn't make. The Nachos were simply ok. The shredded cheese wasn't melted and the pulled pork and whatnot just sat on the top of the nachos. I will say the artichoke crab dip was pretty good. I couldn't find any crab in it, but it did taste like there was crab in it 😁. In regards to the service, that's where things fall flat. They do not have enough staff. There were two servers so expect it to be slow. Strangely we didn't get plates or silverware with our apps. I literally had to go to the hostess stand to get some silverware and use napkins as plates while we ate. It also would have been nice to know when we were handed the menus that the oven was broken, but instead when they asked what we wanted then it was, "yea about that, our oven is broken......I'll give you a few minutes to look over the menu again". I'm not giving a low star rating because of a broken oven, things happen, it was the slow service, the lack of attention, and mediocre Nachos preparation. We will give it another try, and hopefully I can update...

Unfortunately there weren't many good parts of our visit. Our greeting at the door was rude and short. We were seated for 10 mins before 2 friendly waitresses came to our table and asked if anyone helped us. While one of them stayed the unkind woman who seated us came back. They then proceeded to go back and forth about who's table it was. We felt extremely uncomfortable and didn't know what to do. Our specialty drinks of the night were very sugary and weak. Our wings arrived only half covered in sauce and instead of the ranch that was ordered, we had blue cheese. When expecting ranch, biting into a blue cheese covered wing is repulsive. If it weren't for the very cheap prices and just wanting to have a good date night we would have wanted to speak to the manager. The waitress had a larger table come in and stopped paying attention to us. She was nice but we had to flag her down repeatedly for anything else we needed.
