They charged me $60 to cancel when that was Specifically one of the questions I asked since I knew I was moving out of state soon after and I was informed I would not be charged to cancel.
Moved to another state and somehow still received mail from this location. I called to have my information removed or at least taken off of whatever local list I am on and I was told by the Manager that it's impossible to do. Even corporate may not be able to do it. I asked if there was a way to speak to the owner and she said no. Seems very ridiculous to have receive physical mail from a place I will never go to again, do not even live in the same state anymore and have completely stopped doing business with planet fitness in general because of this club. Update to the owners response:
The promotional mail I recieved was not from a local club, it was from this one, had your exact address on it which is why I called this location.
Also, I understand the cancellation policy may have whatever it was but I should not have been intentionally lied to then in the beginning when I made a point to ask about this before joining.
Your workers should be able to be honest with customers. No worries though I am just glad I'll never step foot in another planet fitness thanks to you all. How the entire cancellation policy thing went from start to finish disgusted me. That's not how business is done. Integrity is the way to go.
Also, the manager did not have to be rude about me requesting to have my information removed since I don't even live in the state anymore. Couldn't even have a decent telephone experience long after I...
Read moreGood morning, I would like to let you know that today I had a bad experience at the front desk of this gym with a worker named Saesha. Let me tell you the story, the gym has a referral program that if a friend refers you they give you a 7 day pass. My friend who is a member of that gym referred me at night and I went to the gym at 7am today, according to the worker my friend had to activate the pass from his account which is true, I called my friend but he was sleeping. I showed her the email when is showing that my friend had referred me, But she didn't let me enter the gym and spoke to me rudely and sarcastically. I explained to her to let me in that I only need to stay for an hour and she said no again in a way as if I were a beggar, for a moment I thought it was a racism issue because I am Latino. Then the issue became personal and I finally became a member of the gym. My concern was not about the money because I had to become a member, otherwise this gym does not respect the friend referral policy, Could it be that friends referral marketing is not true? I call the attetion of manager of this gym regarding the customer service of this worker Saescha, she really made me feel like I was rubbish, and now I am a...
Read moreI have changed my rating. Although the facility is nice, clean and the equipment is good, I have to say that I am disappointed in the response time via email. I originally sent an email on May 3rd in regards to pausing my membership due to emergency surgery, as noted by my surgeon. Proper documentation was emailed to the facility and, not only did I not receive a response until 2 weeks later, I was charge a monthly membership fee. When I finally received an email back, I was told that my request was made after the 17th and I was charged because all requests for paused memberships need to be made 7 days prior to the 17th of the month. To that, I responded that I would forward the original email with my request to show that it was made in the beginning of May. That was on May 20th. I still have not received a follow-up email. The communication seems to be poor. Based on this interaction, I'm not sure if I would come back. I have close to a dozen friends and coworkers that come to the Mt. Pocono location. I am sure they will feel the same way,...
