DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE
I boarded my golden retrievers Winnie & Wagner here while I was on vacation because I wanted them to have a great time & this facility looked great with the pool & play areas. I sent both dogs with their own food from home for sensitive stomachs & skin. On the last day of boarding, they were switched to the “house food,” because they had “run out” of the food I sent with them. When I picked them up, there were full bags of food that I had sent with them amongst their personal belongings. I also discovered that both dogs have hot spots, probably from the food change & from getting wet in the pool. Apparently there is an exam conducted before the dogs go home, but no one caught these horrible wounds on my babies necks. Wagner has not eaten his dinner or breakfast since returning home due to being in so much pain (my vet’s words). I spent almost $500 getting Wagner treated at his vet immediately after his stay at pet paradise, will be administering 4 medications for the next week, and will have to bring Wagner in for a follow-up visit. If you want your pets to suffer, take them to pet paradise.
Update 7/30/24
Funny how I was NEVER informed of any issues with their ears or advised that they shouldn’t be in the water. 🤥 Sounds like a lie to cover yourselves. As for contacting you, the manager never called me back on Friday, as I was promised during one of our phone calls on Thursday when I reported the issues my dogs were having. Oh, and I was gaslit repeatedly by the manager, blaming ME for the dogs being fed the wrong food, which is the main cause of their allergic reactions. I’ll say it again, I sent the dogs with more than enough of their own food from home, they were still somehow fed the wrong food that they were allergic to, but yet had extra of the food they were sent with. 🤔 In conclusion, they NEVER should have been fed any food other than what they came with as there was more than enough. “We apologize if there was any miscommunication” IF?!?! Take some freaking responsibility!
Oh, and since you’re so concerned about how the dogs are doing you’ll be glad to hear that Winnie had to go under anesthesia today to be treated...
Read moreI made a reservation online to board my two dogs July 5 to July 7, 2024. I also scheduled grooming for both. I provided pictures of both dogs just after they were groomed elsewhere and asked that they mirror those images.
When I made the reservation, I had to pay a deposit and was given a dollar amount of what would be due when I picked them up. It ended up costing me $200 more than what was quoted. About $500 for standard boarding accommodations and for grooming.
When I went back to pick up my dogs, I was standing so my back was facing the door they came out of. I quickly turned my head to glance back and I did not recognize them at all - I was actually like, wow those are ugly dogs! Of course when I looked again and saw that they were running toward me, I realized they were my dogs. They had been completely shaved. It was the most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed and was NOTHING like the pictures I provided them. I knew if I opened my mouth, I was going to say some very ugly things to the staff, so I grabbed their leashes and left. I am just now posting this because I have calmed down enough (two months later) that I though I could keep from being ugly.
In addition to everything else, both dogs developed kennel cough while at Pet Paradise. Clearly I do not recommend this place. I wanted to warn others so you too are not...
Read moreThis place is the absolute worst. We boarded our German shepherd, duke, for one night. When we picked him up the next day, he was coughing. He continued to cough for the next 2 days so we took him to the vet and got him antibiotics for kennel cough. We gave him the antibiotics twice, but they made him throw up so we stopped them. He didn’t cough again. Fast forward 2 weeks later, we boarded both of our dogs for a few days. We got a phone call that our other dog, Chloe, was hack coughing. We picked them up the next day. The coughing stopped after 2 days of being at home. It’s been over a week now, she hasn’t coughed once. This facility has to have sanitation/mold issues. Our dogs have respiratory problems every time we pick them up from this location. They’re also always dehydrated when they get home and immediately both drink an entire bowl of water. We tried to board our dogs at a different location today and found out that the Murfreesboro location put a note on our account that we can’t board our dogs until they both go to the vet and are cleared. Literally ridiculous considering they only cough when they stay at this nasty location. We...
