Dirty, over priced, icky, yucky and home to the scariest, most threatening and downright RUDEST cashier I have ever encountered. And a very scary, threatening group of people hanging around and shopping in the store too. If you value your health, safety and sanity stay away. I walked out and will never go back again. Horrible cashier, threatened me, screamed at me to "Back off!" Cashier scared the heck out of me. Her verbal attack came from nowhere. I had NO clue what she was screaming at me about? This verbal attack was completely unwarranted. As I silently and patiently stood in line to check out. (Fact- There was NO line at the registers. I was the only person there waiting to check out.) I was even MORE shocked when I confronted the rude cashier about her aggressive threatening mannerism and words that she launched against me. Yes, I actually dared to tell her that what she did and said to me was wrong. Bad choice on my part. But- in the current world in which we live- Threatening words and behaviors like this from others should NOT be tolerated in our society. This is part of the growing problem in this world, when a small group of angry and aggressive people think they can bully, abuse and attack others and get away with it. They seem to think that they are untouchable and that NO ONE can confront them or hold them accountable for their words and behaviors. Shame on me for taking a stand against this sort of abuse and actually daring to defend myself and speak the truth. LOL! Get this! The customer who was standing in front of me, whom the crazy cashier was helping to check out- actually defended the crazy cashier to the store manager. This crazy customer LIED- bold faced to the store manager, interrupting me, and talking over me, as I tried to explain what happened. This crazy customer actually followed me, as I went to go speak with the manager about the angry, threatening cashier! So, not only was I verbally assaulted by a crazy Savers employee, I was assaulted again- by her crazy customer who seemed to be getting a sick thrill at how the crazy cashier abused and scared me. WHAT is REALLY going on at this weird store? I guarantee- whatever is going on, it is NOT good. What were the crazy angry cashier and her over supportive crazy customer really doing at her cash register? Could it be that, I was verbally assaulted, because I interrupted what they were doing, by standing in line behind them? Obviously- this crazy cashier did NOT want me or anyone else standing in her line nor seeing what she was doing at her register. Did the crazy cashier scream at me, as a way to steer me away from her cash register, so that NO ONE could see what they were doing? Something weird was going on. I am sure of it. Whatever the aggressive Savers cashier and her weirdo customer were really doing at her cash register, is a mystery. Yet, this real horrible treatment enacted against me really happened. The fact that the mystery customer at her register defended her aggressive rude behavior makes this store all the more scary to me. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE- has a right to scream at me or any other another human being like that, in a threatening manner, scaring the heck out of people. The manager offered me a 30% discount. She was very apologetic, but she just didn't seem to "really" care about what happened. She seemed more bothered by my complaints and the argument that followed as I then had to defend myself and integrity against a crazy aggressive Savers customer too! I left my cart near the front of the store and left in complete shock and horror over what had just happened to me at this horrible dirty thrift store. What a shame- because the other employees who worked there seemed very friendly. :-( One bad apple CAN ruin the bunch. I have a feeling Savers won't be around too much longer. The store and most donated items are filthy and broken. The freely donated Items are WAY over priced. I am a fan of thrift stores, but will NEVER go to Savers again. It's a nightmare in more...
Read moreI went in to donate today at savers as I've done many times before. They asked me if I would like a coupon. I said yes. I asked about my coupon before I started shopping and was told that I can use it today in the store and I also asked about the 50% off color today and I was told that I can use both. I have been shopping at savers for now over 7 years and never had an issue until now. They didn't honor my coupon for 20% off even though they accepted my donation. I felt that was really ridiculous. I was told to show proof of being able to use my coupon in the past with items that are 50% off. I showed the proof and my transaction wasn't honored or adjusted so I decided to get a different item even though the item that I wanted was the one I truly wanted to buy. I asked for my donation back and they said that I am not allowed to get my donation back even though they won't honor the coupon. So I asked to speak to a supervisor and they told me that they were the only supervisor on staff that day and her name is Jackie. I was told if I wanted to speak to a different supervisor then that I can have her help me when she gets back from vacation. It was a terrible experience and it's the new year. If you guys need any advice, I also shared my experience on the contact me page on their website and you fill out a half form and you're also able to receive a call back or response within days. I hope this helps somebody and I really do think it is unfortunate because I do like this store a lot. It's one of my favorite thrifting places to go to. They just need people who are consistent and not wishy-washy because other than that I found amazing things that I've never found at any other thrift store. Thank you to those who do actually help customers and I'm looking forward to my issue being resolved in the...
Read moreTonight I purchased several items from the thrift store Savers in Murrieta, Ca. One of the items did not have a tag I wanted this dress for a wedding tomorrow and they said they couldn’t price it and I couldn’t buy it even though I told her what I wanted it for. I also had my mother with me who is a senior citizen. She did not know how to use the self checkout and then when I asked someone to help her. The manager Travis comes up and says she needs to stop being inconsiderate because I commented on the fact, they were being rude for not holding the dress for me for tomorrow so they could price it or even price it right then and there. But my mother never said a word. and He didn’t want to help her!! I cannot believe that!! it was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a thrift store mind you in any store period! I donate to them all the time! so to experience what I experience and not only that when we left, he said to not come back when we purchased what we bought, there were no curse words exchanged or threats from us so he had no right to say that! Travis was the worst manager I have encountered in awhile and he demonstrated discrimination against two black women and did not care. a younger person that worked there was even surprised at the way we were being treated. Travis needs to be reprimanded and let him know he can’t treat customers like that. I don’t want to shop there anymore this was a very horrible experience! And their prices are no cheaper than Ross or Burlington might as well go get your...
