Visited on March 28, 2025. Friday. Around 1 pm. With another adult and my two visiting grandkids, 5 and 7 years old. Military group.
Said I saw on-line cost to unlimited rides is $30 with military discount, for kids, at the pay booth. Two individuals in inside the Pavilion amusement ride booth said no, cost is $39, a large $9 more. One person, a tall young black male immediately said that’s “old information” on the internet. He knows this? Or just says to stop my questioning?
The other person, a black female said that’s not us, those are “other people” selling. I asked well if we buy from these “other people” with the 25 percent cheaper price how does that work when we arrive to the park. How does that work, what do we do when we come to the park, what is the process ti get in and ride the rides? She said she didn’t know, “that’s them, not us” Who owns the rides? The park?
The problem: Feel thus organization, this business, just looks to scam people, as I see other complains have been noted about this park on the reviews here. They simply lie to you, (old information). Or, one’s just getting vague information, or no information at all, when the women said she has no idea how buying tickets on the internet works when coming to the park, nor what the process is, and projected an attitude she simply didn’t care, so don’t bother asking me.
Bottom line, as a paying customer coming to this child ride park for the first time, I don’t have any faith in these two people being honest or providing accurate, trustworthy information. Zero. No faith in this business. All grandparents want is good, accurate information when taking the time to do something for our kids. No BS talk and a feeling the business is a greedy and dishonest and have their employees project this.
Secondly, found the workers in the park running the rides lacking any energy and providing inattentive customer service and communicating very poorly.
Example: My kids rode the race cars ride with the sharp turns on each end. Next to it was the Cup ride. No workers were at that ride. Nobody there, vacant, no worker people. No signs saying it’s shut down.
So I asked a lady who was at the race car ride Is the Cup ride next door operating? She said nothing! No greeting. No eye contact. She simply pointed to two worker women sitting at a bench between the Cup ride and the Carousel (horses) ride. I had no idea what’s she was communicating to me. She didn’t talk! Did she mean, go talk to them? Get them to get up and go man the ride like they should have been doing? No idea. So, my kids never got to ride the Cup ride, and they wanted to ride this ride. You people really messed up here.
Horrible customer service. Horrible. And where is the supervisor, when you gagged to employees sitting on a bench and nobody is manning the Cup ride? Why does he or she allow this to go on, this lazy work behavior/horrible customer service to take place? Workers who can’t even talk to customer grandparents to provide basic information.
Parents, grandparents who are considering coming to this park, maybe their first the, take note of my comments. They are all true. Take note how well I have described my experience at this park. The detail.
For me, with two small grandkids who love rides like any 5 and 7 year olds do, who will be coming to visit me for years to come in Myrtle Beach, I will never, ever waste my money at this park again. Never.
There’s other child ride parks in the area that will gladly...
Read morePlease see my review about Family Kingdom last year and go there.
Paid for an unlimited wristband at the Pavilion. Unlimited rides from open to close. There isn't a lot to ride to begin with & of course kids get fixated on just a few rides. My daughter bounced between the slide, swing, and beast.
The 2 female ride attendants for the beast were the same all day. Never rotated to other rides. They didn't want to run the ride and continually made comments to my child about riding it again. "Can't you ride something else" "don't get back on until you ride something else"
While family Kingdom jokes w her when she fixated on a ride and became her best friends making it fun each time. These ladies chose nasty comments.
Then they decided to just not run the ride leaving my husband and daughter seated on the ride for 10 mins waiting on no one else to ride before they would finally start the ride.
May 5th is my daughter's birthday. We went to family Kingdom last year and the pavilion this year.
Family Kingdom offers an amazing locals discount & has more activities. Plus nice engaging employees which is most important. I would pick Family Kingdom over and over again for the staff alone.
I'm not disappointed with the rides, location, or price. This wasn't our first time and we knew what was here. I just can't get past employees of an amusement park being totally unable to show...
Read moreI would give NO STARS if possible! We r vacationing in Myrtle beach. We decided to go and enjoy Broadway at the beach and my sweet amazing nephew wanted to go down the big slide at the pavilion. Well when his dad tried buying tickets they asked if the tickets would b for my nephew he said yes. They told my brother in law that my nephew could not ride the slide. When asking y they replied because no one with a disability can use the rides. My nephew was born with one leg he is 8 and truly amazing and gets around just fine! We explained to them that he can get up the stairs and does not need to take his wheel chair. They still refused to let him ride. We spoke with the manager this is where things just got out of hand. The “manager” said he can’t ride. I asked y again because I had yet to receive a real answer to that question. He said that he has to b able to carry the sack up with him we explained this is no problem he can do that! He still refused to let him ride. He refused to give us his supervisors number. After calling security he then refused to sell tickets to my entire family. We will not b back and I will make this known to everyone possible!!! Disgusting to say the least. My nephew left so upset and my sister in tears. We had no idea how to explain this to him. How could some1 b so nasty to a child I am completely...
