After several days of eating southern and Italian fare, we were in desperate need of our healthy lifestyle.š³ What a wonderful surprise to find Bay Naturalās kitchen. There were so many delicious, healthy choices it was hard to decide! The avocado grill sandwich sounded amazing to me, minus the mozzarellaā¦not a problem! They subbed out vegan cheese for the mozzarella and holy smokes!!!! The sandwich was superb!!! My husband ordered the Turkey kale wrap special and it did not disappoint! When you order a sandwich you get to choose your sideā¦mine was the fresh, sweet apple and beet slaw, and my guy got a side salad with the house made green goddess dressingā¦my only sadness was that I didnāt get the salad with the dressingā¦THAT DRESSING!!! Wowza! So flavorfulā¦much so that I got a side of it to add to my sandwich, which truly put it over the top. But I would be remiss if I didnāt talk about the LENTIL SOUPā¦thee best lentil soup I have ever had (and Iāve had a lot in my life!). Ask for the hot sauce on the sideā¦it elevates the flavors even more!!! Delicious healthy food for vegans, vegetarians, carnivores, alikeā¦donāt be turned off by āhealthy,ā ā¦itās just FABULOUS food. Can you tell Iām excited??? Honestly, Iām truly upset we just learned of Bay Natural a couple of days before our departure because we would have been there for many meals!!! I would come back to Myrtle Beach just for this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen going here for at least the past 7-8 years. I spend a good +$100, maybe $200 here a month.
The 30-something year-old brunette girl who works here is EXCEEDINGLY AND UNNECESSARY STUCK-UP. Why are employees who work at health food stores always like this?
Every time she's there when I come in, she usually runs away from the front counters, and gets lost in the back where I can't ask her for help, and I can't get any service at the store when she's the only one working the front.
There was the one time I came in, and she was having a long conversation with a customer from behind the checkout counter; I browsed around while they talked, but eventually figured out they didn't have what I needed on the shelves, so I was going to HAVE to ASK her for her help. Again, she was the only employee up front.
I didn't want to be RUDE and INTERRUPT, so I just stood there, waiting hopefully for them to end their conversation, but she didn't acknowledge me, until the customer told her she should take care of me, first.
As you can imagine, she was abrupt and surly with me, probably because she felt like I interrupted their conversation.
I'm getting tired of getting disrespected at grocery stores, especially the small, local, independent places that need as much business as they can get, and can't afford to be putting off...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was torn about whether to review just the food in the back little cafe area or the store itself, so this review reflects both collectively. For the food, I got the vegan Reuben sandwich, which was decent. My mom got a soup that she thought was bland but not bad overall. We got a couple of the cookies, too, and those were great. The service was good enough on the cafe side, but the women working the store and cashier side were so flat. They just seemed tired and unenthused and overall not happy to be there. The whole time my mom & I were in the store it felt like kind of an awkward, judgmental experience which is especially bizarre to me since basically every other natural foods store I have ever been to has been employed by generally happy, warm, and helpful people. I was looking at the face serums and lotions for quite a while trying to find one suitable for my sensitive skin and neither of the woman working there asked to help even once, but I could feel as one woman just watched me from the empty register area. I didn't need help, but it would have been a kind and expected gesture to offer it as an employee. I would hesitate to want to go back here despite this store carrying a lot of my favorite foods and skincare products just because of how unwelcoming the...
