I would not recommend staying here for a trip. I would say it’s safe and okay to stay if absolutely necessary, but this isn’t a place to stay for a planned trip. There is much better options for cheaper. Let’s start with the customer service. There is an LOT to unpack here so strap in. Upon arrival our room was ready very early. Which we thought was a great sign. No… walking into our room it was not as advertised. It was much smaller , missing a door between the two bedrooms and just not the same room that was pictured at all. We looked in the bathroom and saw a family of large roaches (pictured). We immediately turned around and told the front lobby. This is where poor customer service starts showing. The two ladies started giggling and saying it wasn’t a roach it was a palmetto or pallemento (don’t even know) Upon googling… it’s the same freaking thing as a roach just a fancy name. They said they could give us another room in 4-5 hours… H O U R S. We went out to the very crowded beach and enjoyed it. However , we had to carry ALL our luggage back out of the original room and wait for our new room. After 4 hours we walked back and asked for the keycards to our new room … no one even put in the request for a new room, we still had the bug room. The lady that helped this time (Sharon) was as a gem and helped a ton. We got switched over to a different room , but still had to wait another hour and a half for it because it wasn’t cleaned (which is weird it was about 6pm at this point and check out is 11am) This room was slightly bigger , cleaner but still not the room that was advertised. The layout and photo didn’t match at all. Throughout the stay room service was horrible. We had to call for towels and rags multiple times every day before getting any. We were also out of toilet paper for hours because no one brought us any after asking 3/4 times. And the front desk had none. We finally got some at 1 am … which woke us all up. The bartenders were snippy and rude. The drinks were great , so was the food . The service was horrible . My boyfriend waited 25 min for 2 drinks and he was the only one at the bar. One drink was sitting behind the bar for 10 min melting because she had her back turned putting checks and tips into her computer. We decided to have dinner there one night. The bartender/waiter was so rude. We had to write down our own order for the chef and hand it to him. She then acted really rude when we asked to eat inside, she basically wanted us to just leave her alone. Refills were 3 dollars. The food was delicious but not worth the horrible services. Overall, we met 1-2 nice staff members. The manager was kind and Sharon was great as mentioned. The rest really need better training or just need the boot. The slide and kiddy area was closed the entire stay, so the other areas were super over crowded . There was some staff walking around , but they only talked to other staff members and never payed any attention to the pool area. Kids were running around , screaming , splashing , obviously very unattended too and staff didn’t bat an eye. There were other people there ( at least 3 seperate times) blasting music (not clean of course) and no staff said anything. The hot tubs and pools were barely clean. We had to scoop out literal worms in the hot tub , after the staff said we couldn’t use the scooper. And no one came over to remove them. Also, in our original room no one offered to come remove the roaches , the desk lady was shocked that we didn’t get them ourselves. Overall like I said , if it’s one night , or an emergency this place is an okay stop. I would not suggest staying here for long periods of time , there is a lot better options even neighboring this place or a couple of miles down the shore. Only good things are the food , that there is a Starbucks connected to it and the beach is right there. However the beach was EXTREMELY crowded and no staff was present at the beach . Everyday people from our “resort” would plop down directly next to us literally touching our beach towels and...

Stayed in July & August. Our first room was bright & cheery & very clean. The second time the room was same motif but beat up, but clean. |THE GOOD-|Quiet at end of hall ( the first visit), Air conditioning worked great first time, second time I was warm at night. You get clean towels, toilet paper & garbage emptied if needed. There’s a broom & pan that was handy bc of all the sand we drug in. The beach was nice although a hike to get to. |Having the pool snack bar & restaurant inside hotel & Starbucks was very nice & both had good food and very good service. Snack bar over pool got very busy & the people worked their butts off! Very very pleasant wherever we went in the hotel. Great bartenders too!!! Servers in all places were very friendly & kind & efficient as they could be. Halls are kept spotless of garbage & clean, as were the elevator areas. ||THE BAD-|We had to walk a lot…..we navigated just fine but if you have any mobility issues everything you have to get to is a hike. Parking in the evening was rough & we usually walked a lot to get back to our room. |It was me & my adult daughter which could navigate fine but my husband would not have been able to do it. |Ice machines were usually broken but daughter would go hunting at night for a working machine! |Rooms evidently are hit & miss…. the 2nd visit our room was pretty beat up ( still clean tho), each morning we were awoken by service delivering towels & necessities until I started to write notes & post them on our door!!! We stayed 5 days both trips & linens were not changed & sand was usually in our beds! No nice blankets they’re very flimsy & daughters bed was made by a flat sheet not fitted & each morning her bottom sheet was in disarray! |Last two mornings we were woken by the sound of screw guns & pounding on both sides of our room it seemed. Obviously they were updating the room or fixing things but it was very inconsiderate! We love to sleep in a bit on vacay & this visit we weren’t able to. |Both times tv access were different & first time our tv didn’t work it kept scanning for a signal. Second time wasn’t a smart tv & there were no shows/movies to watch. |Now…. The pool was inundated with adults & kids. There was no way during both stays either of us were going to go in the pool! |NO! On Fridays it seems its families go wild at the pool! No one bothers anyone…. It’s just we were there for a relaxing vacay & you wouldn’t find it here!!!! ||Next visit we will head to N Myrtle where I guess it’s a bit more “ adult& quiet” maybe better clientele. I was very surprised the second visit. |The rooms need work. But obviously the employees of the entire place work very hard at keeping the grounds clean, hallways clean, public restrooms, restaurants….. everywhere was clean. The employees everywhere were kind, and friendly. Made you feel very welcomed. They should value the employees bc they all work hard & it shows. | |All in all for my daughter & I to return a second time it was pleasurable. Second visit differs from first but we had fun both visits. If you can over look some flaws of the rooms then you’ll be ok. We had an ocean view room and we had to peer over the balcony to see the water. Not worth the extra money they charge per day! From walking by the Oceanfront rooms & looking in the windows ( not a peeper! Drapes were open!!) those rooms all look very nice & updated. BUT all those rooms have halls that are outside near garage area which I would think could be noisy depending on time of...

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A "0" I WOULD

We reserved here on Feb 7, 2025 for a birthday for our 7 year old. I called ahead because i am particukar about where we ly our heads and half the hotels at the beach need to be torn down. I spoke to the front desk manager who was very nice and assured me that the room would be good. She also advised that she would issue a refund if not satisfied. I do believe she wanted to mak good on her promise.

When we arrived to the hotel, we were exhausted after riding for 4 hours. It took about 35 min to get checked in. The wait was so long. When we got to the room, we had to walk a distance and I immediately judged it from what I was seeing, but looks can be deceiving. When we entered the room, the fresh smell of bleach hit my nose which was a plus, and I was satisfied. The room looked great! It was not gloomy and dark and it looked clean. There was not carpet which was also a huge plus for me.

The boys took out their iPads and iPhones to play Roblox, so I decided I would shower first. I gathered my clothing and placed them in the restroom. I began to gather our bags and place them neatly near the tv. As I gathered the last bag, I saw 2 antennaes. I immediately screamed, "Omg, is that a roach?" The boys came running over, and I grabbed my phone to take an image but the critter was in the crevice of the bedskirt. I turned on video recording, flicked the skirt back, and began recording as it fell from the bed. It was moving extremely quickly. I immediately called the front desk to speak to the manager.

She was nonchalant. She offered another room and stated this is the only room with this issue. Ummmm, roaches do not decide they only wnat to camp out in one room of your hotel, and it was a teen roach (lol) too small to be considereda baby roach and not even close to being large enough to be considered an adult roach or a water bug)This place also has a kitchen, so I can only image what it looks like in the kitchen but the health dept will know what it looks like on Monday. Anyway, she refused to issue immediate refund, so we can get a new hotel and she refused to walk us to another property. She kept repeating the same thing, with no real resolution, so I hung up on her. I gathered our things and went downstairs where I had to wait again for about 20 minutes. I then spoke to that same manager. When I told her who I was, she had a smirk on her face and refunded the money back to my card which did not do a bit of good. It will take days to be refunded.

I was furious and we drove hours back home. The front office manager called me the next morning to offer an apology. Can someone say, "blank stare?" You called me to offer an apology? We spent 8 hours total in drive time (all at once and you called to say, "I'm sorry? You ruined our weeked, but I'm sorry? Our 7 year old waited a few weeks for this for an I'm sorry? No ma'am!!

This place has roaches, they do not care about anything besides collecting money, and I would advise you to check your room throughly especially if you have children but we all know roaches dont discriminate. Pack your eyes and your nose before sleeping at night. Usually I let thigs go but not this one!! I have filed a BBB and a consumer report. Will contact the Health Dept on Monday.

Our microwave did not work either. I planned to warm the pizza I had for the boys...

We had our family vacation there in July 20 24 first room they put us in it was broke. It was hot. We had to call to the front desk multiple times to tell them about it. They sent someone up to try to fix it they couldn’t fix it and we had to go through so much for them to move us in a new room but other than that, it was beautiful
