Sales rep told us if we purchase the item and we do not like the item we can reject the item. Item was delivered, delivery told us they would need a signature we thought they would come back for that signature instead they drove off. Called not even a second after they left to catch the delivery truck. Instead of transferring us to catch them they basically told us too bad you are stuck with the item. I tried to explain thats not what we were originally told.
We spoke to the manager, he was extremely rude and contradicted himself multiple times.
First he said once the item comes off the truck in a box you have to reject. Once the item enters your home you can not reject or return even though it is in the box as per their policy. When asked well how can you reject if item was still in the box he stated “ you should’ve seen it in the store then.”(I had bought the item online due to it not being on the floor at the time). Then he stated well it can be rejected only if the sales rep writes a note detailing that you want to see the item in your home. (Sales rep did say we could do that originally ). Lastly he said, “It is up to the delivery driver if they want to take the item back even though you reject it they can deny taking it back.” I am no genius but if there is a policy in placed as originally stated, how come there are still 3 different scenarios? We ended up going in circles with no resolution.
All this to say, do not believe anything the sales rep tells you at the end of the day they care about money and not about the satisfaction of the customer. Sad that this is how businesses conduct themself just off...
Read moreI would give the Naples store 0 stars if I could. Purchased 3 glass pieces for our mantle (to display as a set). They had us sit while they wrapped and bagged them. Salesman returned with the bag. When we got up to leave, I looked in the bag and much to my surprise, they were wrapped in what looked to be Seran Wrap. I commented "What, no bubble wrap?". He said they were out. When we got home, and we pulled out the largest piece (and before unwrapping it), it was obvious they broke the tip off of the largest piece when they wrapped it. We called immediately and talked with the manager, Alejandro. He refused a refund, as the receipt did say no refund, but its not like they were on sale and the employees broke it before it left the store due to not having proper wrapping materials and not being careful. We paid almost $300 and have a set that can't be displayed due to their lack of having bubble wrap and not informing us PRIOR to completion of the sale AND due to their carelessness when wrapping. Called customer service and they said we had to deal with the store. Alejandro eventally offered a 20% refund on the largest (broken) piece, but what good is that if it is broken and you cant display the set. We tried to negotiate and said we would accept 20% off the entire purcase and he refused. We felt that was more than reasonable since they were a set and the breakage was their fault. We will never set foot in a Rooms to Go again and we do not recommend anyone else do business with at least the Naples store....
