Took my kids here today because I had fond memories of coming here on summer camp field trips growing up. I knew it would be a little run down but an arcade is an arcade. We let them play in the playground area with tubes and slides and after about 45 minutes of playing in that area my husband and I spotted a raccoon on the play equipment. The young girl who was watching the area was very nice and did immediately call up two other employees. They however did not at all seem concerned and didn’t even stop another family from entering. We had to tell them there was a raccoon in the play area and to not let their kids in. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes and they didn’t evacuate, tell any parents… nothing at all. This raccoon looked sick too and was acting weird. We went downstairs and alerted another employee who was apologetic and she refunded us our tickets and leftover tokens but there was still no alerting anyone else in the building. That play area spans 3 levels and the raccoon was going up and down floors and could easily walk anywhere else in the building. I truly hope they got lucky and no kids were bit or touched it. We will never bring our kids back. I understand things happen but to not even get the kids out when a raccoon is wandering around looking sick and acting bizarre in broad daylight is grossly negligent.
Edited to add: the response from funworld is blatantly not true. Maybe they could share some camera footage then because my husband and I stood there while they continued to allow another family in to the play area after already being notified about the raccoon. I had to tell the other mom to not let her kids in the tunnels because there was a raccoon in there. This wasn’t a 5 minute thing. I understand things happen and had they handled it appropriately I would have probably just laughed about how bizarre it is a raccoon came inside. Just...
Read moreFirst the good- they do have some good games (Like Space Invaders Extreme and Halo Fireteam Raven) as well as a decent prize area, a nice indoor carousel and a decent selection of pinball machines. The mall rides for the toddlers on the first floor are okay as well. Now for the bad: -The Outdoor Racetrack hasn't been used in years and is overgrown, rusty and in disrepair The indoor roller coaster has been out of order for years now Same with the Himalaya They have a Galaxian Theater which is so rare, that there are only four left in the world. Too bad, they decided to let it collect dust for years and use it for storage The indoor playground looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. (There is a what is supposed to be a white swinging rope that is literally black from use of children swinging on it ) They have an indoor Ferris Wheel, that (You guessed it) hasn't worked in years. There is an overall musty smell in the place that tends leave with you and you can still smell it in your clothes when you get home
In conclusion, I would say that Fun World has the potential to be a place where nostalgic memories meet modern thrills. It could also be a place where you have one of a kind experiences that you don't get anywhere else, but instead, they seem to be on life support and have settled on being a cheap place to dump tokens, which is disappointing. I would love to see them renovate the building and repair the machines and attractions. Come on Fun World! Let's get...
Read moreSubject: Concerns about Customer Service and Military Discount Verification at FunWorld Nashua
Dear FunWorld Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment and concern about the poor customer service my family experienced during our visit to FunWorld in Nashua on Saturday, February 15,2025
Firstly, we observed the cashier being rude to her trainee, cutting him off mid-conversation while he was assisting us. This behavior was unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness.
Furthermore, when we asked about the military discount, the cashier asked for my husband's military ID. After verifying the ID, she made comments that were perceived as discriminatory and unprofessional. She questioned the validity of the ID and asked if my husband was active, implying that she was unfamiliar with the ID. I would appreciate clarification on whether this treatment was specific to my husband or if all customers presenting military IDs are subjected to similar questioning.
Additionally, we were disturbed by the behavior of a team member working on the second floor playground area. She spoke in an unacceptable manner to a 15-month-old baby, demonstrating a clear need for retraining.
The playground area itself was also poorly designed for parents needing to supervise their children.
I hope you will take these concerns seriously and take necessary actions to address the issues with customer service, military discount verification, and staff training.
Thank you for your attention to this...
