We were here for 4 weeks in January 2023 while we were waiting for our house to be ready. Our biggest complaint is the complimentary breakfast and once weekly soup/salad 'reception.' It seemed like every time one of us (family of four) went down to breakfast, the staff member(s) responsible for keeping things stocked was/were sitting at a table chatting. They'd be completely out of things like milk or eggs, orange juice would run out an hour before breakfast ends and never be replenished, etc. My kids love waffles and of the entire stay, they probably only had the waffle maker out 1/4 of the time, and when it wasn't out there was nothing to take its place. I asked when the waffles would be back one day and she said 'oh it will be back out Saturday' and a week went by and it was never there. Additionally, there were multiple times where the scrambled eggs had a green hue, looked gross, smelled gross, and at least the one time we tried them they tasted awful. From that time on none of us even tried the scrambled eggs if they looked ever so slightly green. ON THE BRIGHTSIDE, when things were stocked, they had a more varied selection of breakfast sides than most other hotels we've stayed in for extended stays. I don't recommend the corned beef hash, but the kielbasa with peppers and onions was really good. But, there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason or pattern to what was served each day - in our experience most hotels seem to rotate through their breakfast items so that no two consecutive days are exactly the same. But this hotel didn't seem to follow that.
Then with the soup/salad 'reception' they claim to have on Wednesday nights, it was only available for 2 out of 4 of the Wednesdays we were there. When it was available, it was chicken noodle soup, caesar salad, cheese and grapes, crackers, bread, cookies, chips, and pretzels with sweet tea or non-alcoholic wine and beer. These all were fine, and we appreciated them when they were available.
Part of the reason we booked here was because we wanted to not have to worry about at least one meal a day and even better that they also offered a small dinner selection one night a week too. It's not really 'complimentary'- you're paying for it in the price of the stay, and so it should be available when we are told it will be available.
As a pet friendly hotel, we appreciated that our big dog could stay with us and not have to be boarded. They had three conveniently placed pet waste stations. But 2/3 of them would have zero bags left and I told front desk staff twice that they need replenished and it never happened. We eventually bought our own bags.
The pool was down for maintenance two, maybe three days during our stay which isn't terrible at all. No hot-tub, but the heated pool was actually heated! It was so nice to go down and spend some time with the kids and not freeze.
We had quite a bit of snow during our stay, and they did an excellent job of getting it all plowed and salted in a very timely manner. We never had to worry about it at all. However, because of the dog, the amount of salt was a problem because it was not a 'pet-friendly' salt and so was not good for his paws. We did buy him boots after the first snow, and it certainly wasn't fun having to put them on 5+ times a day to go out for walks, but there was no avoiding it.
This hotel is just a quick drive away from Shaw's and Market Basket for your grocery needs. There is also a small corner grocery store just on the corner of Tara and Spit Brook roads. Also, lots of restaurants, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Target, Home Depot, Great Clips, Costco, a mall, and a plethora of...
Read moreWe had booked a 20 room block for our wedding on April 27th-29th. We had an absolutely great experience reserving our shuttle back and forth to the venue and making reservations for a gathering room with Tanya. However after that things took a turn for the worse. We returned from our wedding and noticed the shuttle was not running and when we asked about it they said they sent the driver home early because "They didn't need him" even though we (and the hotel planner) specifically noted that we needed it until 11PM. Luckily our Limo service stepped up and made the necessary trips to get guests back. We hosted an after party on the first floor room with alcohol and gifts that we had purchased for our wedding party and guests. The next morning at 9:30 we asked one of the gentleman standing outside of the room not to clean the room because we had it reserved until 12 and we needed to clean it up and pack up our stuff. About 30 minutes later we returned to that same man in the room that was now empty and cleaned. We asked him what he did with our stuff and he said "I don't know" Immediately upset we complained to the front desk and the hotel employees started scurrying around to find our stuff that at the time we thought they had thrown away. We returned to our rooms to grab our bags and as we were walking out I noticed 5 employees pulling our belongings out of their trunks. Gifts, alcohol, clothes ect. was no small feet as all 5 of them walked back into the hotel with all of our belongings in hand. In shock we asked to speak with the GM. They did comp our rooms. Today the GM of the hotel called and said that they have "Never had a theft in 4 years", when I pointed out what happened over the weekend he said it was not a concern because our items were returned. He claimed that the employees took some of the bottles of alcohol (That we paid for & brought to the hotel) and put them away out back and only some of them were taken to employee's cars. None of the employees were terminated. We are absolutely appalled by the actions of the employees and the response of the staff. We hope to share this so no one else has this...
Read moreOk,been here before for a lengthy stay.i enjoy this hotel.i am a Hilton girl.i love Nashua, this is a good place.front staff is wonderful and pleasant.place is clean,I'm a neat freak so believe me it's clean.rooms are clean too.i was a bit thrown off by the sleeper sofa mattress this time around had a massive stain, one I almost wasn't ok with.i do carry multiple discinfectants, and they had plenty of linens in the closet to cover it to be comfortable, overall it should be replaced, those mattresses cost peanuts really.anyways they did a new thing since I was in this Hilton their breakfast was all wrapped beautiful in a favor type box very presentable.nice selection as well I have picky eaters.i love it behind the desk with the staff so I know it's clean and not being touched by a hundred hands.this time around I did not need to request anything I was only there 2 nights, but it's nice they leave an extra toilet paper and paper towel in the room.so last but not least, the only thing I wish that was different was the pool last time I was there for my 7-Day stay it was great not that I was hoping the hotel wouldn't be busy I was there on a weekend for business I expected it to be busy.but they changed the policy to five families in the pool at a time but that needs to be more specific me and my son were swimming and not that we need to be alone but before you knew it there was a family of five a family of four a family of four and family of three I couldn't even get out of the pool I turned my head in someone's face was in my face and I almost had a heart attack it turned into covid pool I called it. Absolutely gross and when it's all kids swimming all around you it's too hard to escape it really needs to be more specific of how many bodies can be in the pool at one time not families because family size differs. Anyways that's about it but overall it's a great place and we will be back we'll probably stay during the week, unless necessity for business, and I will ask the policy on the pool before I stay again or we won't stay until covid is near ending hopefully soon!stay...
