I enjoyed the food here. My first time I went to lunch and got the pork katsu and it was delicious and blew my mind away that it was fairly cheap for the amount that they give. The second time I went for dinner. I couldn't wait to have the pork katsu again but it's not on the dinner menu! Omg!! What is a girl to do???! 😂 I simply asked if it was a lunch item only (which it is according to the waitress) but without hesitation, she said she would check to see if they could make it for me for dinner. I was beyond excited. So I got pork katsu and it was the same size as the lunch portion (which is huge so no complaints) but the price was higher. No big deal bc they did it without thinking twice about it and also before I even thought to ask about it. We also had sushi. Sushi was good. I never had red snapper sushi and it was good but nothing special. I think that's more on the fish than the restaurant. The spicy tuna maki was good. They also bring you miso soup and salad. It ends up being a lot of food. There definitely will be leftovers. We got the scorpion bowl for two which was again... Huge. It was hard to finish bc of the size. 😆 Maybe I'm a whimp but it's good if one of you is a drinker. Overall, I think you get your best bang for your buck by coming during lunch. It gets a little pricer for dinner but why pay more when you can have it all for lunch. 🤷‍♀️ Side note... When we were there for dinner, they sang happy birthday 5 times in the hibachi area. Must be a good spot to celebrate your birthday.

I was looking a Japanese restaurant, and by that I meant one that doesn't break the bank and does not mix Chinese cuisine in the menu. Basically, a 100% Japanese place. I stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. Suffice to say, I am super happy. Why? First, Chawan Mushi dish. This is a traditional Japanese dish. It's steamed egg with fillings. None of the other Japanese restaurants which I had been to offer this. This dish is simple, yet, packed with so much flavor. I have missed this since my last Japan visit. Second, my Unadon came with Japanese cucumber and radish pickles. It is hard to find these being included in your rice order at Japanese places here in US so I am super happy to have these in my Unadon to eat with rice. Third, the Soft Shell Crab and Nama-yaki (fresh oyster with scallion and ponju sauce) are super good. Fresh, perfect temp, and tasty. Forth, I am able to enjoy my meal without being interrupted with constant questions from waitresses. I am not into that style of being questioned right when I put food in my mouth... I am the "pls give me the food and leave me alone so i can enjoy it. If I have questions, i'll wave you down" kind. Overall, I am a happy camper to find my favorite dishes in one place. The hibachi tables are packed and the festivity is super nice. The facility is clean and the staffs are attentive and quick. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the food and please keep these original dishes on the menu :)

Takumi Sushi & Hibachi in South End Nashua just may be the best Japanese restaurant in the area to go for Hibachi food and entertainment. They do put on quite a good show here. Pro tip: if it seems a bit busy and you end up on a waiting list, go to the Sushi bar where you will almost always find a seat with no wait. On my most recent visit here that is just what the three of us did. We decided to go nuts and try many things. We had so much food coming that I forgot to take but two photos. I had the Spicy Tuna Naruto and the Sushi & Sashimi Combo For One to start. Everything was amazingly fresh. Included was soup and salad. My two Mai Tais were very good and tasty. Black Tea was also very good. Our server was most excellent, friendly, and prompt. The apparent manager on duty was genuinely friendly and ready to assist. Later, I enjoyed the most flavorful of Lamb Chops, seasoned in rosemary, thyme, and black sesame; fabulous. All the while, the festive atmosphere continued behind us in the Hibachi room. It really was a grand time - and maybe a little overindulgent - but everything was so incredibly good. Highly recommended.

After coming here for the past few years, including a few Valentine’s Day dinners, last night was a huge disappointment! The service was horrible!!! Our server was beyond mediocre and acted like she did not care to wait on us...Everyone coming in after us was getting food served before ours arrived... Another female server asked us if we wanted something to drink, and when we said we were waiting on drinks we’d ordered earlier, she said, “Never mind!” And quickly departed to the next table. We had to wait for everything! Our drinks finally arrived, and halfway through our drinks, our appetizers arrived. When we finished our appetizers, the server who asked us if we wanted drinks, came back to our table and asked us if we were finished, and ready to go, and I told her we were still waiting for our main meal! After our entrees finally arrived, we ate. I couldn’t finish and we finally flagged down our server to get boxes. She brought us back the boxes and the check! I was surprised at the bringing of the check because my date wanted dessert, and we weren’t asked if we wanted any, and our order was just an appetizer and entree, leaving room for dessert. I asked the server if she was trying to rush us out, because she brought the check and did not ask us if we wanted dessert! I have been to Takumi’s on Valentine’s Day, and being busy never affected the quality of service received yesterday! I almost asked to see the manager...being a person of color one can wonder because of the ignorance that was projected upon us. I will chalk it up to the two servers and their small-mindedness. I watched them being pleasant and attentive with others they waited on around us, while appearing to be impatient and annoyed when waiting on us! The icing on the cake was waiting fifteen minutes to have our credit card returned after the server took it to pay the check, while observing the people at the table next to us, who came after us, and were served before us, get their card back moments after giving it! Our days of dining at...
