We booked on of their properties through Airbnb and on night one of our stay our house was broken into about 2:30am. He walked through the front door, which yes was locked!! There was a man in our bedroom while we were sleeping, with kids in the house as well, and took about $15000 worth of stuff. The house offered little to no security and only has one lock with is operated by a keypad. No additional deadbolt or chain is on the inside. Just one lock that is accessed on the outside. Anyone can easily break through the lock or reprogram a new code. The cops even told us that this has been happening with these kinds of locks, and with the knowledge of this happening this company should have better security measures in place but that just goes to show you how they don’t care about you or your belongings. This company is terrible!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. After calling the cops and getting a police report, we tried over and over for hours to contact our host with no response from them. Even though they state their service is 24/7. After they finally called us back, they offered no resolution. No one came to the house to check or change the lock, check for damage, try to help us with a solution. They did not find us an alternate place to stay nor did they offer to reimburse us for our flight changes or the costs to book a hotel. Since they didn’t give us another property to stay at. After the one phone call from the manager, I never heard from her again. She assured me they would be working to fix this and that I can call her with whatever we need but then became unresponsive, and had no regard to the traumatic experience we had been through and the amount of money we lost that night. We saw the man in our bedroom and escaping with his buddies in the getaway car!! The NEXT DAY AFTER the owner of the company finally called me to tell me that they will no longer be in contact with me because there is nothing they can do and refuse to talk to me anymore!! He was extremely rude and placed blame on us saying that we left the door unlocked, which we did not! I can’t believe that this company is allowed to operate like this and still be able to rent out there homes on Airbnb. Airbnb needs to remove this host and put insurance and policies in place for instances like these. This is totally unacceptable for us to pay to rent a property, and be robbed which was very likely an inside job, and be treated so poorly with no solution. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM, AIRBNB TAKE THEIR PROPERTIES OFF YOUR SITE. Look at their reviews on other sites, they should not be in business.
Aside from the robbery; the property was sub par at best. Dirt all on the floor and walls, there was no trash bags in the trash cans and no trash bags throughout the house. Both garbage cans in the garage were FULL of trash. Absolutely ridiculous. They will not get...
Read moreExtremely disappointing on a number of counts (in no particular order):
The kitchen was devoid of supplies, e.g., we had to buy paper towels, and there no tissues anywhere in the house. The kitchen's cutting board was a broken piece of wood with nails sticking out of it (see pic). The floors were dirty and had not been mopped; white socks turned dark grey after 15 minutes of walking around. The Murphy bed in the master bedroom not only was broken and unusable, but also had FLEAS. The only panoramic view of Nashville was from the roof. With no elevator access, several members of our party were not able to enjoy it. Hot water took several minutes to reach the sinks/showers; it took six minutes of running full blast to reach the second floor. There were several large water stains on the kitchen ceiling. The HVAC return vent in the master bedroom was filthy. The rear of the house looked out onto a power station (you can see part of it in the porch pic). The porches had not been swept in a long time; all were dirty (see pic). The grounds around the house were overrun with huge thistles and other weeds; it was very unattractive. The house is very cheaply constructed. Anyone who'd be dim enough to pay the $1.4m asking price would deserve it.
On the up-side, it was roomy. But all of us who stayed there were disappointed and eager to leave.
In sum, things are not always what they seem. ...
Read moreListed as a super host on Airbnb however the listing pictures were nothing like the home actually looks like inside or out. The photos were clearly taken before the first person ever rented the home and has not been taken care of inside or out for what looks like years. Everything is overgrown, dirty, boarded up windows and a cellar with an interior door that is looked to the guest but accessible to whoever has the code so not at all safe on the inside. Furniture broken and stained in many places, lizards and spiders in the closets, shredded pillows, disgusting kitchen with roach motels and ant traps and 2 broken beds with tracks that looked like bed bug evidence comparing to online photos of how to identify bed bug infestation. There is not a backyard it is a small overgrown area above a retaining wall with four chairs. The vents and water stains, leaking shower and rusted fixtures were disgusting. This looks worse than a frat house maybe what I imagine a flop house would look like. The furniture had an inch of dust on it was scratched and nasty and and the boxsprings on the beds are actually wood boxes and broken and one bed was just not even there. Please do not stay at this location. Doge Ave in Nashville, Ultra...
