We had our wedding and our reception at Rocketown and it was better than we could have imagined. It's located off of 4th Avenue South so it’s closed enough to downtown to be convenient for all of our in town and out of town guests. Additionally, it was very spacious and the parking was more than adequate for our 250+ guests. Another great thing they offered is an open vendor policy so you were not tied to any specific vendors which can be nice when you trying to cut some corners financially. Mary Virginia Settle was our main contact and events coordinator and she was awesome to work with. She was accommodating, hardworking, and extremely friendly. The rest of the staff was also very helpful. The venue is open and has a cool industrial feel. It’s a versatile space then can change to whatever mood you are looking for. Also, it’s got a cool vibe and message with the skater/biker kids and youth outreach programs. If you’re looking for a unique venue and a great experience then this if your place. I would definitely recommend this venue to friends and family....
Read moreThe only reason I'm give this place a one star is because I have to and the bands that played. I saw the story so far, basement, and turnover. If it wasn't for the bands I would never go to this place (I will never be returning in general after this thought). For a venue that is "well-establish" the service was awful. My friends who were guest listed we treated like liers. I wish I remembered the staff members name because she was very rude. She was a 26 year old child who contuined to talk about my friends after they had already dropped the conversation. Also, no crowd surfing or moshing? Don't host rock shows if you don't want to have crowd interaction. This place is silly and packed with rules. Another staff member also said, and I quote, "if you crowd surf you will be kicked out faster than a fat kid in dodgeball" and if you ask me I think that is very unprofessional and stereotypical. IF YOU HAVE TO SEE THE BAND YOU LOVE GO but if you can wait it out another couple months and see them somewhere else, do that....
Read moreThis is for a store clerk who worked night time on March 10th. Very disappointed in customer service and lack of respect for shoppers. As a parent it makes me not want to support the business. Please do not pick and choose who you want to be nice to in this business field. After all every penny counts.
( Answer to your question ) While my son was searching his pocket for change the store clerk rudely said to him and his friends " Are you guys gonna buy this or what? ". The store clerk might say that there was another customer waiting in line, but still that is not the way to talk to customer. Needless to say they didn't purchase the item. Just so you know my kid bought a board earlier that night. Hope to see...
