AbleLight Thrift Shop — Attraction in Neenah

A couple years ago I would've said this was among my favorite thrift shops in the Fox Valley area. But the last couple years the prices on their products have become disgustingly high - way past anything else in the area(even antique malls that have vendors that scalp thrift shops for product). I'm writing this from the parking lot after my fourth visit in a row of not buying anything because of the gouging that has happened, I found the following prices on items I might've purchased for THRIFT prices:

Ninja coffee pot: $99.99 (another coffee pot of a lesser brand was STILL $49.99, for a SECOND HAND COFFEE POT) Portable dvd player: $30 1960s Typewriter: $74.99 (I collect typewriters, NO typewriter is worth more than $20 unless it has been gone through and serviced by a professional) Console Record Player: $174.99 (again, this needs to be serviced to be anywhere near this value)

Ignoring that they won't budge on some products that sit for over a YEAR (an organ they were trying to sell for eBay prices, think $300), these were just the examples I saw today.

Whoever sets their prices is absolutely out of their mind, and I won't be going there anymore. It's simply a waste of time to do a lap around and see prices that I wouldn't even pay for perfect-condition items. Get real. You are not a boutique shop, you're a thrift shop.
