I'd whole-heartedly recommend any retro game enthusiast stop by D-Pad. They've struck the perfect balance of having an amazing inventory along with decent prices, something you don't see a lot of. One of the best game selections I've seen from a vintage game store in a long time. From Intellivision and Atari to PS4 and Switch, consoles, handhelds, loose games, complete-in-box games, ect. They even had a huge Dreamcast selection! On top of that, almost everything is packaged in a protective plastic sleeve, which is something I'd like to see more of at all vintage game stores. Prices aren't bad either. You'll be paying a small premium at ANY physical game store compared to online, and while some prices were a touch steep, they were generally pretty standard. Overall, I have no problem recommending this location. Great selection and great service! (Pictured below, Glover for N64 and Pokémon Yellow (JP) for GAMEBOY, both purchased at D-Pad)

Was doing some work out of town and decided to stop by this place. I looked around and found this Teddiursa plush I liked, so I bought it and kept the receipt in my hand. Before I left, I noticed the wall of DS games. I went to check and saw there was a copy of The World Ends With You. I have been looking for that game and asked a different person if they can get it for me. They got it for me and then asked "was there anything else". I looked a bit confused but said no that's it. Then he said "did you pay for the Teddiursa plush." I said "yes I did." All while still having the receipt in my hand. I was about to just say never mind on the game but it has been on my list of games I have wanted. If this is how customers get treated, then the staff needs to be trained better. There was a bigger Teddiursa plush there but I will be taking my business somewhere else. Sincerely, - The Teddiursa guy who has money

Atmosphere: 5/5 Inventory: 4/5 Service: 1/5!!!

I really hate leaving poor reviews, but I just felt like I had to get this off my chest. I'm not really super into video games, but roughly over the course of 6 visits or so I have brought in games to sell for cash. I've been helped by a combination of 4 or so different gentlemen through those times. 3/4 of those guys were super friendly nice and I really appreciated them helping me out. I even brought in a console to get it tested because I didn't have the power or display cords, and they were super helpful in hooking it up and testing it for me! For that, I really appreciate the kind service. The other gentlemen though, I have seen probably 4 or so of my visits. He seemed very uninterested and rather annoyed I was even there asking them to buy my games. I don't even know why because I've had nothing but a nice demeanor, but his attitude is consistent every time and honestly it has made me feel pretty hurt. I don't recall his name, but he had a darker complexion and some longer hair. I even had some empty game cases, game manuals, and entire games that they originally didn't want and I offered that they could keep it for free because I was going to donate them anyways, and they seemed irritated by my offer? I even specified they shouldn't feel obligated to keep them, I was simply offering because they were a video game store and I felt they may want the extra cases/manual/games. They ended up taking them and didn't say thank you or anything. I'm genuinely bewildered and hurt by that specific interaction as I have no idea what I did that would deserve such a feeling of annoyance on his part.

As for the rest of the store, it was VERY organized and very interesting to browse through. I'm sure for people who are more interested in video games it's a very fun/entertaining place to visit. If you are very interested in video games and that environment, don't take this review at face value. Please check them out for yourself as I'm sure it would be different (as indicated by the other comments saying such). As for me who's not really into the hobby, I'm glad I don't have any more games to trade in because I'd rather avoid the store than have to talk...

I truly don't understand how this place is open. I brought in a stack of 17 games some unopened I just never got around to play a few of them. They didn't even look at the games they just say store credit only. As in one of the games I had they had in their store for 38 dollars and that was one of the sealed games I had. A few other games I saw in a previous trip for 25 and so on. I do admit a few of the games I was expecting maybe a couple bucks on but for them to not even look at the games at all and not even offer anything but a lousy store credit they didn't even look at the games. When I said some were still sealed they didn't even say anything. How do you not look at any of the games people bring to show y'all. They basically said they weren't interested without looking. I've been to this place probably 6 or seven times and I've never felt welcomed even when buying games for my nephew or going with my brother to pick out a few games. I've spent money there every time and will no longer step in that store. Rude and unprofessional to...

Went during black Friday sale where the whole store was 25% off. The guy with rainbow hair rang it up and charged me full price. I told him he didn't give the discount and he apologized and tried to fix it by putting it back on the card. It was taking a really long time. I asked if it would be faster to get cash instead of getting it on card. Another guy behind him said no we just have to figure it out. In the end the cashier gave me cash instead of putting it on the card. But as he was trying to put the money back on my card he charged me the discounted amount again. So I got the cash for the discount but he charged the same amount to my card separately. So in the end I paid full price. This store doesn't know what it wants to be. I guess it started as a video game re sale shop. But now its trying make half the store D&D and plushie to fill out the other half of the store. Sounds good but in reality it just has a very limited selection on...
