Edit it's pretty disgusting that instead of taking accountability for messing up my hair they would instead choose to lie. I think it’s gross behavior to try to slander clients online about their finances when I have a full time job and DO have the means to pay for a double process hence the reason why I ASKED for it. Im pretty certain the real reason i wasnt given the correct service is because Sam over booked herself and didnt feel like staying later to do it. I think it's pretty gross to not only assume someone's financial situation, but to air it out online to try to justify their awful service. Second, as previously stated, I've been blonde for a long time and I've had many bleach root retouches as you can probably tell from my long platinum hair (excluding the yellow roots given to me by this salon) and so I'm obviously very used to having bleach on my scalp and I in no way shape or form ever asked them to wash the bleach off early. That is a straight up LIE. I think it's childish and unprofessional behavior to sit around and come up with stories and excuses about why your work doesnt look good instead of just fixing your mistake. What a terrible, immoral salon you have. Anyway, I ended up going to Cindi's salon and Spa and they did a beautiful job fixing my hair for a fraction of the cost and they were much friendlier too. If you care about your hair I would recommend going to them :) original review below Do not go here please save your hair and money!! They ruined my blonde hair and now I don't know what to do. My roots are orange and ugly and I'm so embarrassed and upset. When I called and made my appointment I explained that I had longer roots than usual and explained in depth my hair situation to make sure they booked me enough time. This hair appointment was a present from my mom so i explained to them that money wasnt an issue, obviously considering the amount they charged me for a simple service. I asked if anyone specialized in blondes and they put me with sam. When I got there Sam had another stylist working on my hair at the same time because she overbooked herself. When they washed the lightener out I immediately noticed it wasn't right and asked to do a double process but she told me it was normal and that it would lighten up. She spent like an hour trying to tone my roots to make them look semi normal and eventually it didn't look that bad and she charged me over $600. Well once the toner washed out I had bright orange roots and platinum blonde mids and ends. I've never called a salon for a redo but it looks so bad I literally had no choice and I shouldn't have to pay someone else to do a color correction for what should have been a simple root retouch. The manager of the salon was very nice and booked my redo appointment but shortly after that I got a call from Sam. She informed me that if I wanted to get it fixed I would have to pay her for it and that I should have expected it to look like that. I've gotten many root retouches with the same length of roots and they have never been orange like this. She took absolutely no responsibility and says if I wanted it fixed I should have told them sooner and acted like I was just trying to get a free service out of them even though as you can see in the photos my roots are just barely coming through. It wouldn't even be possible to retouch such little new growth. I will never be returning to this salon and if you're smart you wouldn't either they don't care about your hair and they don't care about fixing their mistakes and there are plenty of other salons in the...
Read moreI have been a long standing customer with the Fixx for years. I have been using the same stylist for some time and even refer people to her and the business, until now.
I asked for the front of my hair to be bleached platinum, this was quoted as 2oz. My stylist has bleached my hair before, She did a technique I wasn't familiar with while bleaching, she stated it was a weaving technique to create smoother grow out.
Once done, my hair didn't look any different. She stated she made a mistake with the toner she used, but I added it was also the weaved in bleach rather than just putting it in solid. She offered to fix it so we rescheduled. It was communicated that this was not to be an additional charge and she apologized for the mess up. I wanted to postpone our redo because my scalp was tender. I asked if I could instead get a partial off of a next appointment or if we could just extend the redo. She wanted to ask her manager and get back to me.
The manager contacted me back and told me that the stylist misunderstood what I wanted from the beginning and only charged me for 2oz which only cover a partial highlight, I never once asked for a highlight and the word "Highlight" was never communicated in my appointment.
The manager stated that I was charged for the services rendered and that if I wanted this updated that I would be charged a full new service that would be around 3-4oz of product to get my desired look and that I would be charged in full for this service with no compensation for the 2oz I paid for prior.
They went back on their word and the manager never met me half way on rectifying this. My stylist told me I could get this redone and even stated she made a mistake, but now I am not able to get the service redone and would be fully recharged. The manager gaslit me, and did not apologize for any inconvenience that I expressed over the phone.
Learn to take responsibility for promises made, and if this is not your policy then you need to clarify this to your stylists and compensate for what was promised in the beginning. Owners should look for new management or put them in a training to handle escalations and how to create customer satisfaction.
First photo - charge = 2oz (Recent) Second Photo - charge = 2oz (First time I was bleached by same stylist)

Read moreI came here a few months ago because I was new to New Braunfels and was looking for a new salon. The environment, hair cut, and even my stylist was very sweet and personable. Unfortunately she talked me into trying a new method for balayage... something to do with ponytails in stead of actually painting the color on. It was the worst experience ever. I came home, happy with how it looked until My boyfriend pointed out a HUG blotchy patch in the back. It was very noticeable and not blended at all. Through further examination, I found patches everywhere. I was stuck wearing my newly styled hair in a ponytail for a few days in an effort to hide everything. Luckily, they were able to get me in again for color correction. In the end, I was still stuck with terrible blotches that I had to hide DESPITE THE REPAIR, and had to go back to my home town a few weeks later to fix the damage. The staff at Fixx was super sweet and tried to work with me, unfortunately it just didn’t work out. I’m sure it was just a bad experience that doesn’t reflect their actual skills considering their high ratings... I just don’t think I can ever go...
