Love their fajitas usually me,my husband and our two boys mind you they are young and don't eat a lot we all get the fajitas for two and share them I think fajitas for one would be enough but sometimes they eat more than other times. The beef is the best it's so tender, the chicken is just standard what you would get anywhere else but I'm not kidding when I say the beef is tender. They have amazing salsa if you like Cilantro. The queso is also great but be prepared no matter what we ask for whether we say cheese sauce or queso there are no peppers or tomatoes in it, it's just plain cheese nothing else but it's very thin and good and doesn't harden fast like velveeta. They have quite a few things I liked but we still go back to our favorite. I would say most of the time the service is pretty good. I found while last girl waited on us was very sweet she was pretty slow and forgetful I try to remember she could have been new or something when judging servers. I think I like the restaurants atmosphere okay however they do have a few tables in the middle that are pretty small and way too small for a family i would only use them as a couples table, however just my opinion others may feel different about it. Anyhow my overall conclusion is I like this restaurant a lot I will keep coming back like I have been. it's best Mexican in new braunfels. I do have one con and its not really for me it's for my husband and kids they hate the internet know sounds crazy but they always like going places with good internet since we all playing pokemon go and even our personal mobile does not want to work here either for some reason just frustrating to them however really the only con and if we can't go one dinner without internet we are...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped here on the last day of our vacation in New Braunfels. Our meal included a large Queso, stuffed jalapenos, mixed fajitas, poblano chicken, and a Big Red Rita.
I know it seems like a lot of gripes, but at the end of the night we did leave full. I would be willing to revisit the Adobe Cafe again in the future, but I would prefer to try one of the other Mexican restaurants in...
Read moreWe truly enjoy Adobe Cafe and appreciate everything it has to offer; however, I must express my disappointment regarding a change to one of their cocktails that I've noticed during my visits. The Dos-a-rita has always been my favorite drink to accompany my dinner, but three visits ago I observed a significant decrease in the amount of frozen margarita in my glass.
I mentioned this to our server who graciously took my drink back to the bar for a refill. While the margarita was restored to its previous amount, I noticed that the beer in the Dos Equis bottle was now about a third empty. It was evident that the bartender had lifted the bottle to pour beer into my drink to create the illusion of a full glass, which is quite deceptive.
I later spoke with a manager, who explained that the owner had requested this change to limit the amount of frozen margarita served. As a gesture of goodwill, the manager brought me a small separate glass of margarita to compensate for the shortfall. However, on my next visit, I ordered the same drink again and while it appeared to have more frozen margarita, this time the beer bottle was already a third empty from the start. It seems clear that the bartender made an adjustment based on my earlier experience.
We love Adobe Cafe, from the delicious food to the friendly wait staff, but I can’t help but wonder if the business is struggling to the extent that it necessitates compromising the quality of this...
