The Haus Escape Room — Attraction in New Braunfels

Everyone giving this place good reviews has never been to a high quality escape room.

The guy who explained the rules could not have been speaking any faster or unclear. He didn’t enunciate so didn’t pick up anything he said. He brought us to a room and then the timer just started. There’s no objective or theme other than get out of the room.

The puzzles aren’t intuitive and are so poorly maintained. One of the doors didn’t open and the game guide told us to do it again, still didn’t work. Then he came in and instead of having a key or a backup solution to opening the door, his plan was to just do the puzzle again with us.

The guides also give you clues, without asking, when they think you’re falling behind.

My Family and I stopped by Saturday 10/19. Group of 4 of us, attempted to book online, but we were a little too late on booking so we called and the gentleman working was super helpful, and accommodating.

The room was amazing. It was designed well, the puzzles were a mix of both challenging and interesting. Some of the things I had never seen before. Not to mention, the room was huge and had a bathroom in it (not part of the escape game.)

The clues from the game master were helpful, but didn’t give away the answers. We escaped with less than 5 seconds.

Unfortunately we are not from the area, but another room is in the process of being built, so imagine it will be great!
