Ut gyro — Restaurant in New Braunfels

Just ordered via DoorDash from these guys for the first time. I had no idea it was a food truck, I just felt like a healthy low carb meal when I saw this pop up.

I ordered the Gyros over Salad and a greek salad. Both reasonably priced and the food arrived extremely fast (granted this is also thanks to my DoorDasher).

I did feel compelled to write a review as this was probably the best gyro plate I have had in my 25 years in the United States.

I am from Germany where we have very good Mediterranean cuisine due to the large population of people from that region living in Germany and this was extremely close to what I'd deem "authentic" greek cuisine.

The hot sauce (usually absent at most Americanized Greek restaurants) was spot on and very authentic. The Gyro meat was tender and flavorful and although I'd normally order the gyro over rice or fries, if it wasn't for this lame ass diet my wife put me on, the salad underneath the gyro meat was also spot on. It included tomatoes, cucumbers and Onions which absolutely go in tandem with the Gyro meat and the Tzatziki sauce. It also included sliced pickles which added a surprisingly welcome twist of crunch and tang really balancing this meal out.

Please give this food truck a shot to keep it around for a long time.

Second visit - hummus again but forgot to ask for hot sauce, darn! Chicken Kabob over rice with salad did not disappoint. Not your typical kabob as this was pounded thigh meat crisped up on the flat top. Extremely tender and really tasty. These folks know how to season food, and the rice was really, really tasty and seasoned.

First visit and won’t be the last! Overall, extremely flavorful and well seasoned. Grape leaves were probably the tastiest we’ve had and that hot sauce is spot on. Hummus also really good. Definitely the best gyro in NB and possible SA. Chicken Shwarma is also no joke. Good job and let’s...

This foods absolutely amazing. I love Mediterranean food and this place was awesome!! I got the chicken and gyro on rice. And my wife got the chicken on rice. We got the falafel side and the hummus and pita side. Everything is amazing. The food took a few minutes to come out so im assuming it was all made fresh right then and there and it was so worth the wait. Ill be coming here so many more times. Best Mediterranean in the area by far. So glad this food truck came to NBTX. Go try out and support this food truck its sooo good and the prices...
