The Butcher's Block — Attraction in New Port Richey

I went today for my first time bc I was having a beer at the Dented Keg & a couple had sandwiches that looked amazing. I walk inside and it was busy but after it cleared out a little, no one acknowledged my presence. I asked the cashier where I ordered and she said at the counter. I stood there for another 10 minutes while 4 people behind the counter disregarded me. When I was finally asked what I wanted I said a turkey club and was told “no we can’t do that”. I said okay what about the chicken salad? Kid said “I mean I can give you some chicken salad” I said well I want the sandwich. He said “we can’t do sandwiches, all our bread is old and hard.” Seriously, what? Why not just tell me you’re out of bread? So weird. Disappointed and won’t go back for another try.

Wow! We arrived to a welcoming array of interesting choice delicacy meat choices, and let me tell you, we didn’t see precisely what we were looking for and it was immediately offered up by Kevin our greeter! Best ever chicken kabobs - marinated in a chipotle sauce with pineapple. YUM. We placed an order, it was ready in an hour and we picked up 4 scrumptious chicken kabobs along with delicious veggie kabobs and cooked them up on the BBQ. A meal to be remembered, for sure. Definitely will be back and absolutely plan to check out the offerings of weekly meal plans! Absolutely fine cuts of meat. Not from the area but was super excited to find a local butcher shop in NPR.

My buddy and I were visiting his father and decided we were going to cook some steaks for the occasion. I always look for a local butcher shop when feesible.

We got there and were greeted by the owner. He gave us some recommendations and we chatted a bit. He committed that no matter what we did to the boneless ribeyes, that they would be tender after cooking them. In his words “if they are not tender, call me and we will work something out.”
