I saw a fruit I had not eaten since 2020. It was OUTSIDE the store, next to the wall in door. Store was empty, morning 9:45am. not crowded, 2 counters open, no one waiting in line. [ Only one door to ENTER and EXIT] It was the only one who got the big AzS fruit, ( a whooping approx. 11 pounds) . I carry it, from outside to the counter. I come in, paid for it, ( put my cc and receipt in wallet. I am carrying it with both hands, I walk 6-10 steps, no more than 8 feet, the lady BEFORE the exit, asks for receipt. [ Repeat: Only one door to ENTER and EXIT] Jeez, shes security, she not have eyes? I brought the load carrying it INTO the store, with both my hands, I paid, I walk out with both my hands carrying it. Just because one is posted to check receipt, does not mean she can't see me carrying the big AzS thing in my hand walking INTO the store, paying and walking out? The 3 stars is for the fruit, pic below. Recommendation: For the receipt checking lady, I would train her to watch carefully, it's not Costco / BJs she handles. Watch carefully, all around, not just ask for receipts, and scratch it with a pen.

I don't need to say a lot about this grocery store. It is literally one of the best South Asian groceries in New York state. BUT there is no parking space available in the immediate area. ALSO, drivers are not following any traffic rules, they will just park on the road, turning the emergency lights on and blocking everyone behind them. Apart from that negative thing, they have all kinds of desi spices, groceries and many more. The place is packed with products all the time and it's almost always busy. Prices are fair too. They have a halal corner meat store, i think it is operated by a different owner. The meat is always fresh and prices are cheaper than other places. All the meat is halal. They have goat, lamb, chicken, beef, seafood and even organ meat. Whenever we visit NYC, Apna Bazar is a must place to go and buy groceries and be taken back home.

This is a relatively clean and organized Apna Bazar. They have good inventory of vegetables, rice brands, and all the popular grocery products from India and Bangladesh. Big price cards in front of kost items. Aisles are marked with product types. I went to get some Maggi Noodles and Maggi Hot and Sweet sauce. I was happy to see the sauce had a $1 discount. The noodles had multiple bundle pack options. I also got a achar (pickle) jar as well. Checkout lane was relatively short. Didn’t wait long. The lady at the register helped me with packing the items in the bag. The only eye sore for me was some of the mess right in front at the entrance.

Apna Bazar Farmers Market in Jackson Heights, NYC, is a vibrant and bustling market that offers a diverse range of fresh produce and international grocery items. As a food enthusiast and frequent visitor to this neighborhood gem, I have consistently had positive experiences and discovered a wide variety of ingredients from around the world.

Upon entering Apna Bazar Farmers Market, one is immediately greeted by a lively atmosphere filled with the aromas of spices and the vibrant colors of fresh fruits and vegetables. The market specializes in catering to the diverse culinary needs of the local community, offering a rich assortment of ingredients from South Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American, and other global cuisines.

The selection of produce at Apna Bazar Farmers Market is impressive. The fruits and vegetables are fresh, vibrant, and often sourced directly from local farms. Whether you're searching for exotic fruits, specialty herbs, or common staples, the market offers a wide range of options to suit every culinary adventure. The variety allows for exploring new flavors and experimenting with different cuisines.

One of the highlights of shopping at Apna Bazar Farmers Market is the extensive range of international grocery items. From imported spices, grains, and condiments to unique snacks, sweets, and beverages, the market is a treasure trove for those looking to explore global culinary delights. The shelves are well-stocked, and the diverse array of products provides an opportunity to discover ingredients that might not be easily found in mainstream grocery stores.

The customer service at Apna Bazar Farmers Market is generally pleasant and helpful. The staff members are knowledgeable about the products and are willing to assist customers in finding specific items or offering recommendations. They create a welcoming and inclusive environment, making shopping at the market a pleasant and culturally enriching experience.

The layout of the market is well-organized, making it easy to navigate through the aisles and locate desired products. The prices at Apna Bazar Farmers Market are generally competitive, especially considering the quality and variety of the offerings. It's worth noting that certain specialty or imported items may be priced slightly higher, but the convenience and availability of these products justify the cost.

One potential downside of Apna Bazar Farmers Market is that it can get crowded during peak hours, particularly on weekends. The popularity of the market means that it can become quite busy, resulting in longer lines at the checkout counters. However, the vibrant atmosphere and the wide selection of products make the wait worthwhile for those seeking unique ingredients and culinary experiences.

In conclusion, Apna Bazar Farmers Market in Jackson Heights, NYC, is a fantastic destination for food enthusiasts and those seeking a wide range of fresh produce and international grocery items. The market's diverse selection, quality products, and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone interested in exploring global cuisines. Despite the occasional crowds, the experience and culinary discoveries at Apna Bazar Farmers Market are truly delightful, making it a top choice for food lovers...

Performing better Best price helpful staff . vegetable is fresh and cheaper than others . Prices are better than Patel Brothers also Apna Bazar weigh mechanics are better than Patel Brothers if you buy vegetables and fruit for $12 here same amount would cost $14 at Patel. They might have some problems with their weight scale . The only problem yesterday I face was I bought a Syrup / Sharbat bottle of Rooh Afza at $1:99 ( regular $2:99) .it's used as a drink when mix with ice and water or milk hot or cold etc . . when at home I used it . I figured out that it's either a fake Rooh Afza or very low quality one . It's not sweet as the $2:99 made in India one .there is no aroma and it's smell weird . Also when used a cough starts every time we drink it .some viral problems .are with the syrup of this Rooh Afza .when checked it was made in Pakistan ( I m from Pakistan and it's a shame that Pakistan has a product like that ) . The other bottle of Rooh Afza made in India has a more red color very strong beautiful aroma / smell and it's syrup is very delicious and sweet . The owners of Apna Bazar should check their supplier for this product .One more important thing is Apna Bazar don't take OTC card .Now a days CVS Walgreens Stop&Shop and other businesses accept OTC cards from different insurance companies. I spoke with the Apna Bazar manager and he promised if I provide him the contact number of those who provide OTC card acceptance terminals he will install it . Next visit I will get the information from LaGuardia pharmacy which has four OTC card terminals and accept most of the OTC cards from different insurance companies .Much Bazar already installed all of them when I provide it's owner the information and now it's easy to buy groceries...

Adding review to this listing for more visibility: The store is run in a very unprofessional manner and is disorganized; the isles being so narrow leading to you either constantly bumping into people or moving out of the way, items stacked in random places and hand written labels not matching the advertised items made for a very stressful shopping experience. You can try asking one of the employees for help but they are probably either too busy, cannot speak the same language as you, or are unaware of what something standard like romaine lettuce is. I called before traveling here to make sure they had an item in stock I was looking for and was told it was available only to arrive and see it must have been out of stock for several days. From what I saw there are either only a few or no shopping carts available so you will be lugging around heavy baskets if you are doing your grocery shopping. The cashiers are extremely slow, and when it's finally your turn you will likely either be skipped by someone else or be interrupted by someone coming to do a price check on an item with the cashier. They will not bag your groceries, and hurry up when you bag your own because they will put the next person's groceries right on top of yours. All of the negatives of this store may sound disheartening, but instead of being phased I'd suggest considering all of the alternative stores in the area - I recommend going to one of those instead as they probably have what you are looking for there and at about the same price, without all the headaches of...
