So I took my cousins here in 2019 and they LOVED it. When they came back to visit me in NY, this was the #1 activity they mentioned to do.
Beat the bomb unequivocally requires teamwork. There are 8 max per group and if you can't communicate with each other, you will not be successful enough to "beat the bomb" (though beating the bomb is pretty hard as it is).
What I liked: -they have free lockers for your belongings -the games are pretty fun (there are 4 challenges, and depending how you do it adds to your time at the end to attempt to disarm the bomb) -They provide a suit in various sizes to save your clothes and shoes from the mess, and have an area where you can clean yourself up -Even if you beat the bomb, you can still be blasted by whichever kind of bomb you chose (paint, foam, etc) -Your pics are free!
What I didn't like: -You are very active in this game, so it gets sweaty FAST. Need fans in there -The screen in your room indicates when to move on, but if you have a kids group or rowdy group in general, they can disrupt your game by opening the door and walking into it -The last game you play in the series of challenges is pretty confusing and the hardest to manage, especially when the tech doesnt read your body too well
How it could improve: -Making the "winning" incentive more known. When I went the first time, we lost, but the latest time we won. I happened to ask a guy a question before leaving an apparently you get a little certificate and pins for winning. We didn't know about that and no one told us that was a thing, so they could make that more known. -More ventilation in the room -Everything is very formulaic, independent experience. This is good because it gives players and chance to learn on their own, but I argue there could be improvements with staff getting a little more involved, particularly with organization. It gets chaotic in there fast.
Overall, conceptually it's steps above an escape room because it challenges your brain to think in multiple ways, not just following hints to...
Read moreThe family had fun. All adults. The staff was so nice. We did the VIP package, which was worth it. My group was late, please don't be like us. We chose to leave early because we believed they were supposed to be close. They didn’t say or even ask for us to leave but we don’t believe in making people stay late for our wrongdoings. We were able to find parking but I can see how that may be an issue on busy days.
They have hazmat suits in all sizes so plus-size individuals should be good. They have some refreshments (Gatorade, sodas,) you can buy. Definitely recommend being hydrated before you play. The place was clean, even the after bomb area was clean. The games wasn’t too hard and my group had 2 people just a few hours coming off a 20+ hour road trip, 2 that went partying the night before and 1 the did a 12hour shift the day and night before. So we was all exhausted but had super fun and completed missions.
All the equipment that we had to use, which was wrist bands, screens, wrists band readers, and lockers all worked, no issue.
With the face shield there’s still a chance the paint bomb will get on your face. I feel people should expect that but I seen a review complaining about it. They have sinks and soap to clean up. I personally didn’t get anything on my clothes or sneakers.
5 ⭐️ for staff, 5 ⭐️ for fun, 5 ⭐️ for cleanliness 100% recommended for...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Explosively Fun and Unique Group Experience!
I recently visited Beat The Bomb with a group of friends, and it was easily one of the most fun and unique team experiences we've ever had! It's like an escape room meets a video game, with a twist — you're racing against the clock to defuse a paint bomb… and if you fail, you get blasted in colorful (but washable!) paint. Spoiler: we got bombed, and it was hilarious.
The games are super interactive and require real teamwork — from solving puzzles to navigating digital challenges that test memory, logic, and coordination. It’s high energy, fast-paced, and incredibly immersive. The staff was enthusiastic, helpful, and really made the experience feel special from the moment we walked in.
Everything is tech-forward and smoothly run. The gear is cool (you suit up in hazmat-style suits and helmets), and the final "paint bomb" room is pure chaos in the best way. Bonus: there’s a lounge area with drinks and snacks so you can hang out before or after your mission.
Great for birthdays, team-building, or just a unique night out. If you’re looking for something different that’ll leave everyone talking — and probably sharing a bunch of hilarious photos — Beat The Bomb is...
