My issues with best buy this year have to do with the lack of knowledge that some of the associates have but not all of them bacause the ones that don't know something at least ding a way to help but others simply don't. On black Friday I purchased online a tablet, an external hard drive and a laptop (hp envy 360 i7 Intel processor with 12 gigs of ram 512 gigs hard drive) they had half of my order ready in the Bronx terminal store but the laptop was not available and the website says that there are some available in the fordham RD location. I go to the fordham RD store to get my laptop and they tell me that the order is being verified but I already have half of my order and my card was already charged, once in the store they tell that I need to call the best buy customer service number from the back of my card (I have a best buy card) and they placed me on hold for 45 minutes to speak with a supervisor because the person on the line was not understanding what was happening after speaking to the supervisor and not going anywhere I canceled my order. Once on the store I was convinced the another laptop did exactly the same that I needed compared to the one from the canceled order. Once I got the laptop I tested it and it did no do any of the things I told the associate I needed for the laptop to do so I returned the laptop (one canceled order and now a laptop return) I go back to the store that is closer to me to return the laptop and there another associate was trying to help on getting another laptop but she was to able to answer any of the questions I had about the laptop and the things that I needed. Then another associate that had help me in the past came through and was able to help as best as he could but was not very knowledgeable on what I needed and called someone that supposedly knew what I wanted and sold and extra hard because the laptop they were trying to sell did not have the amount of storage that I needed and was told that it was user friendly upgradable I took the new hard drive and the new laptop home and when trying the upgrade it was literally imposible to do. I could take it anymore and went to a 3rd best buy store to get one they had in stock that could finally do what I needed. One I got the new laptop and returned the other one this new had a damaged screen and I did mentioned to the associate at the third store that the box was dented and the sticker looked like it was removed and put back again. Now I have to go back to that particular store where they have more available and see if it works. Is a long review but I needed to get this out of my chest.

And as for the account info, it’s not available on the Best Buy site, not on Citi Bank’s site either — but on a third site: bestbuy.citi.com. It’s confusing and feels poorly managed. I really hope large companies like this start treating their customers with more transparency and respect. I’m giving 3 stars — for the store and product quality — but the credit experience leaves a very bad impression.

I have been there multiple times with no issues until a while ago. The first time I set foot there nobody said anything to me. I was wandering around looking for a few items I wanted to buy and for someone to help me compare different iPads I was interested in. NOT ONE PERSON was around and I went to the front end post and the guy who didn’t even look at me said just wait for someone to come through. About 45mins into my shopping did I finally get someone. They went to go look in the back for something I asked for but never came back out. I guess customers asking bunch of questions about a product seems to turn them off because another employee lady asked if I was being helped and I said yes but he never came back out and he never told me his name so I couldn’t tell her who I was talking to. I continue to look on my own at that point since I figured out this is one of those stores where you just have to fend for yourself and expect no one to help you unless you’re ready to pay. I overhear two guys talking about how they didn’t want to go find something in the back and they just are hiding in the back to avoid helping people. They were in the back with the door open but I was at the back shelves looking at the items nearby when I overheard them since they were laughing pretty loud. After an hour and a half of no assistance I had to leave and thought okay maybe today isn’t a good day for them. I came back a few days later to pickup online orders and of course nobody greeted me and it took 40mins for someone to come help me. I would’ve gone elsewhere but they were the only store that had all of the items in stock at the time. Came back again and watched a man get confronted about stealing but he didn’t take anything and nobody gave him chance to explain as he didn’t speak English so well. Whoever was at the front threatened to drag him out if he didn’t leave. I went through something similar but forgot I even got the item and I was accused when I simply was looking for someone to help price check since nobody was at checkout and the item I found wasn’t in the correct spot. The guys at the front are no help and people just seem to avoid anyone that needs help because they all go to the back and hide out until you get tired and give up. I met a lady that used to work there and told me her experience was terrible and they don’t treat customers respectfully nor acknowledge anyone unless you keep bothering them for the proper assistance. The last time I picked up an item and they made me wait 20-30mins before telling me they didn’t have it and to call customer service to get I resolved and that there was nothing they could do even though online it said they had it. I have never been to a place with such disrespectful and rude employees in my life. If that’s how they treat customers they shouldn’t be open for business. It’s a damn shame and very humiliating. Each experience left me feeling upset and frustrated and very inconvenient like I was a burden for just being there. I’ve worked customer service for years and you don’t treat people like that or don’t work in the field at all!!! After my last visit I will never be returning this sorry excuse of a store that claims to help people with whatever they need. You need to hire a BRAND NEW staff. I’ve heard complaints about this store before but didn’t take it seriously but now I know and see why! ! I have returned all the items that needed to be returned and I am not a person that leaves bad reviews but this one had to be done. For everyone out there ANY OTHER STORE is better than this one! Shame on the employees that treat humans like trash and shame on the owner for keeping such people on the job. The attitude is disgraceful and unpleasant. Not enough staff either but the wrong ones are there. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!!! YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME THE MOMENT YOU SET...

Whoever is managing this location as in District Manager needs to replace existing store management immediately along with 99% of existing employees as they aren’t helpful or representing Best Buy accurately. I visited this location to purchase a home surveillance system and no one could or would help starting from the front cashiers to the entire floor. There are sufficient employees but all huddled together in conversation pretending to unload merchandise and when asked for help they either ignore you or say it’s not their location or just walk away to the back not returning. It took 4 different employees to finally receive help but all with an attitude and no merchandise knowledge whatsoever so basically had to just purchase anything they had in stock because they seemed to not have much of anything or just didn’t want to look in the back. Then we tried to ask for the restroom which became another task and finally we found a Latina woman with a ponytail who didn’t seem to want to help us until she finished her task of stocking several items but we over looked it all due to the Holidays until we revisited again shortly after and we’re greeted with the very same non existent help as before from a younger Latina female employee who refused to allow me to use the restroom even after I specified it was an emergency. She lied and claimed it was unlocked only to have me find they weren’t as they weren’t the last time either and when I found her again in the front to ask her again to please use the restroom she condescendingly mocked me and took her sweet time opening the door carrying conversations with several male employees walking by inappropriately. Then we needed help with two other items which also became a nightmare so I brought my concern to a male manager who tried to help but wasn’t knowledgeable himself. We left but returned to find our items thankfully a younger male employee with a black tshirt helped us which stunned me as everyone else had on blue tshirts. I used to work as a salesperson and then manager years ago and was horrified at the lack of leadership this location has and would fire the 5 rude employees on the spot if I managed this team for their unprofessionalism. No one should be mistreated this way ever especially when dealing with the public and hope the right people take action because it’d be a travesty if this location...
