Sips — Restaurant in New York

The place is cute and around the corner from my job so in a rush, I stopped to grab a drip coffee (I rarely drink drip, but again — rushing). So I ask for a bit of oatmilk & simple syrup.

I tried to sip the coffee on my into work and it tasted like black coffee without sweetener. So I get into the office and I grab my spare sugar and as Im taking of the lid, the ENTIRE top of the coffee was covered in this chunky milk looking stuff. So I stirred it until it was little particles and kinda just let it sit.

I forgot about the milk particles so on my break, I go and heat it up. When I open the lid, the attached image is all I saw. I scooped it out to get a better look but all I can say is this… I have never in my 7 years of a being a barista seen milk, especially not Oatmilk, do this. This must have been beyond bad.

And if the woman at the register wasnt so busy trying to speed through orders, her or the gentleman making coffee would have noticed before they had the audacity to hand this to me.

Im glad she closed the order after I paid, I was going to tip and she closed that...

Look y'all, there's really no getting around this Sips can do almost everything your other favorite breakfast/coffee spot can do but better and at a lower price point. Many of the breakfast sandwiches are under $10 which today is kinda wild. At that price point there was no lack of portion or flavor, in fact I was still full on into the evening. The only and I mean ONLY critique I could find was merely an excess of cream cheese on the lox sandwich but tbh I never bring that up on reviews cause on that point to each is own just be sure to ask for less if that's not your thing. This is a 5 star spot...

This new coffee shop is consistent in their quality and ambiance. I only get my coffee from here in Bushwick and I always order the brown sugar cinnamon latte and it’s delicious every time I get it. The Belgian waffle is one of the best pastries there (the little bear cookies are so cute - my little one always orders it and it’s her favorite)
