KITCHEN WORKERS PREPARING FOOD WITHOUT MASKS.
Can’t believe I’m giving Shake Shack 2 stars. We used to love it here. Tonight we waited 25 minutes for two burgers, one fries and a milkshake, despite the dining area being almost empty and despite having had no one in front of us at the counter when we ordered. It was all just heavy duty takeout orders with a throng of up to a dozen helmeted delivery guys standing around for ten or more minutes at a time (not asked to show proof of vaccine to be there, though WE most certainly were).
That was frustrating enough, but what was really sad and strange is that two of the 8 or so kitchen staff behind the counter weren’t properly masked. Nobody seemed to be in charge or care. One of the guys making food had the mask below his nostrils the whole time, and another one had it under his chin with both his nose and his mouth completely exposed. This was at 6pm on Saturday 10/30/21. Downtown Brooklyn location where Fulton turns into Joralemon.
Sadly, as much as I used to like going here I just can’t go back to this location again. At least not for now. And I won’t order takeout from them either. There is some serious management dysfunction going on when this is allowed to happen. The actual meal was fine, as always, but this time I really didn’t...
Read moreFood although delicious it was overly pricey. $20.00 for a burger fries and shake. For half the priced I could I've walked to Burger King who was around the corner and get the same order. Lighting was poor, I asked management to turn lights on to see the menu and it did not happened. I waited nearly 8 minutes and I settled for number 6 combo meal. Milkshake taste really good. The name was confusing, Black. There was vanilla, Black and chocolate. When I asked what it was, it was explained as very chocolate. Left me wondering what chocolate taste like. Bathroom used required a code which is on your receipt great idea however it left me wonder if passcode ever changed I waited to used it during the 8 mins of the lighting just to have a homeless person inform me of the code number and suggested to look at my receipt. I did not have a code as of yet since I was waiting for the light to be turned on to see the menu. Over all the wait was long to get my meal. It was only 2 people ahead of me not counting wait time for the light. Inside looked decently clean but hard to tell cause of lighting. I noticed one family of 3 dining in by the time my order was completed I thought they had left but they sat outside in the plaza. I...
Read moreThis was my first time coming to this location. My first order was done online for pick up in store and the first experience was pleasant. Upon finishing my food, putting my cheese fries in my bag for departure after dining in, I decided to order another burger. There was a gentleman in front of me ordering and I was next. When I approached the register with my belongings and shake shack bag in my hand, the flamboyant gentleman at the register between 12:30pm and 1:00pm approached me with unnecessary hostility because he assumed with me having a shake shack bag in my hand, I was coming to "complain". The fact that I was even approached like that threw me off guard and I told him I didn't come here for any issue, I'm simply trying to order. I provided three dollar gratuity as a courtesy too. Nevertheless, I understand in this world you have to be aware and alert, but to deliberately approach someone because of your own assumption is totally unnecessary, wrong and unprofessional. Work on your skillset and approach on paying customers because what I brushed off, others may not. Again, my first pick up experience went very well, the second experience was confrontational. This review is based on my visit...
