I’m pretty sure the owner Alex doesn’t speak to all of his customers the way he spoke to me. To be hung up on mid-conversation simply because only he wanted to be heard while being completely disrespectful was beyond unprofessional.

I received a call nearly an hour after my appointment time only to be spoken to in an argumentative tone and told about an employee’s personal life and her 3 kids. That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Had I received a proper text or reminder call I would have cancelled in advance, but instead I was met with rudeness and blame.

I’ve given this salon grace despite 3 previous negative experiences.

First incident I was sent home with only 1 eye lash done and the other completely bare! I was told it was too late to fix even though The technician was clearly inexperienced. I explained that I lived over an hour away and they did let me walk out the door looking crazy in public.

2nd incident I requested micro links using their “Russian hair” which knotted terribly the very next day. No wide-tooth could comb through it. Alex witnessed me in tears as the hair was being removed the next day yet not a single apology was offered. Instead, he looked more annoyed about refunding me for the poor-quality they provided.

3rd incident I had my lashes done somewhere else where it grew out and I needed a new full set, another lash tech at Delaqua I asked her to remove the previous set of lashes I had on for 2 months which she didn’t she simply bushed it out and added her own and still charged me full price for a full lash set.

And let me not get started on where I’m being worked on in between other clients who just walked in where my technician is going from room to room to assist others rather that spending the full one on one time with you which I’ve never complained about regardless of it seeming unprofessional.

So to be told now this was my “second time no-showing,” which was completely untrue, and that I am no longer welcome back was the final straw. Alex actually did me the favor. When I questioned Alex as to what he meant by “second time,” couldn’t even explain and became defensive and dismissive.

For a business that relies on client relationships, I strongly suggest implementing a professional reminder system with texts or calls 48 and 24 hours prior instead of calling customers an hour afterward to argue. Professionalism and respect should be the bare minimum in any service business yet neither was shown here.

I will gladly take my business elsewhere and will not be recommending this salon to anyone, not friends, family or colleagues who lives & work in the same area. Disrespect is where I draw the line. I do not tolerate any of it. It’s unacceptable no matter the situation! And I explained this situation to my boss today and she herself will not be returning because she knew about the mishaps I’ve experienced with this place and still...

Obsessed!! When it comes to dying hair, I have been through it all and have probably tried every salon and hairdresser in NY and Delacqua Salon is the only one I ever returned to and stopped my search, particularly due to one of the hair stylists, Eldar, who blew me away. The salon and the owner, Alexander, are absolutely amazing on their own and, on top of that, they have Eldar who is honestly a godsend when it comes to hair. Not only is he truly gifted and talented with hair, but he works in such a careful and meticulous manner. Just so thorough, so detail-oriented and so patient. Extremely professional, always thinking, always on top of everything. Also, he knows what is best for you and he will not screw you over like other stylists do or entertain unrealistic expectations; and still over-delivers every time; you come out looking better than you even thought you would or even could. Eldar has beat any hair stylist I ever went to, the ones on the upper east side never even came close; neither have the ones in any of the NYS boroughs (or Florida). 100% stand by this. He is a legend in the making and will soon be one. So smart, so gifted and so professional. I feel so grateful to have crossed paths with Eldar and would recommend him and Delacqua Salon to everyone. I appreciate the owner, Alexander, very much as well. He is extremely passionate about what he does - actively participates, just loves everything when it comes to hair, his clients, his hairstylists - he lives by this and he wants you to be happy just as much as you do; he will be there for you. Here are three pics from my hair appointment with Eldar earlier this week, where he transformed my brunette grown-out roots that were leading into my brassy-blonde mid lengths and ends (I was growing out my hair for months!!) —— my new beautiful blonde hair!! Thank you Eldar and thank you Delacqua Salon for my blonde highlights and yet another amazing experience!! Still receive so many compliments from everyone!!...

My sister and I got our hair done today for the first time at this salon, everyone was super nice, the gentleman that did my sisters hair did an amazing job, I believe his name is Gene plus she had a wonderful experience, unfortunately I did not. The young lady I got wasn't very polite, a girl named Zaynora, perhaps because I didn't understand her due to her accent, we had a young man come translate. I clearly told him to please tell her what I wanted which was a very light blonde color from the ROOT to the very BOTTOM of my hair and. NOT THE BALAYAGE!!. I LOVE to talk so I kept trying to engage in a conversation with her but that wasn't happening so I left it alone, whatever.. I later find out that she ended up giving me the "balayage". (dark on top and light at the bottom), she even had an image of what I wanted on her phone. After she did the coloring to my hair I then had it washed. I went back to my chair where my hair was somewhat dried and flat ironed. This was the worst drying and ironing job I have EVER seen. No shape, no nothing. It was like she was drying a dog, so rough. So bad that I had to iron my hair again when I got home. My hair was so rough and full of knots WHICH MY HAIR IS VERY SILKY. I can tell she was offended by me needing someone to translate, either way, she still didn't understand what I wanted and as a customer it's very frustrating because I don't trust anyone with my hair and this is why. Alexander (the owner is a very nice man) he explained everything to my sister and I when making the appointment and everyone there was so nice! The place is absolutely welcoming in every way. DONT COME HERE! THEY CLAIM EVERYONE OS A PROFESSIONAL! IF YOU LOVE YOUR HAIR DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! Or JUST BE VERY AWARE OF WHO...
