Haircut was good maybe 8/10. However, my experience was disappointing. The reviews here are great but the guy who cut my hair was not. I made an appointment online and paid in full with a 25% tip.
I arrived and told the guy, “I have an appointment with Eugene” he nodded and I also asked to used the rest room. He seemed annoyed by that.
Then while washing my hair didn’t full understand I wanted a drop fade with a 70/30 part. Throughout the haircut, he would ask if I liked the haircut and asked if I wanted anything different I told him my part was too sharpe and he said that’s how it’s supposed to be and disagreed with taking off some of the bulk. I also asked if he could “point cut” the top of head to add texture and he said “sure” then proceeded to lecture me on why it was pointless and he doesn’t recommend it. He was clearly annoyed by me and the funniest part about it this situation is when I went to check out he asked for payment and I said I already paid in full (second time I’ve told him this). He was confused then realized he made a mistake thinking I was a walk-in and then shook my hand and acted as if everything was great. Just really unprofessional experience, and idk if I even worked with the barber I paid for.
Also, I don’t go to a barber for customer service but this guy was a little too comfortable for someone who’s never been to their...
Read morePositive: Although I arrived without an appointment, they were still able to accommodate me. I would also add that the shop is small but comfortable.
Negative: This is a terrible barber shop for men with coarse hair. Although they accommodated me I could feel everyone staring at me the minute I walked in. It was clear I didn't belong or was treated as less than compared to their normal clientele. They were clearly talking about me but in a different language only they could understand. I proceed to ask the barber if he knew how to cut coarse hair and he said yes. The minute I sat down I could tell he didnt have much experience because he didnt have a brush(what barber shop doesnt have a traditional brush). I requested a skin fade and the haircut only took 15 minuets. If you know about skin fades they take time. He was rushing the entire hair cut and had no attention to detail. It was a very lazy haircut…he was using the clippers in so many different directions and barley took the time to actually deliver a decent haircut and pay close attention to his customers hair. Even with all that said I still tipped him over 20%. Just remember, if you have coarse hair do NOT spend your money here or even come here in general. The staff is not friendly towards...
Read moreI'm not typically someone who leaves reviews as I simply just never return after a bad experience, but my experience tonight has compelled me share my disappointment.
My first haircut with Danny was exceptional - he listened attentively, asked questions, and delivered a fantastic cut that exceeded my expectations. I was excited to have found a reliable barber.
However, my second visit was a stark contrast. I arrived early for my appointment and was seated promptly, which was great. But surprisingly, Danny rushed through my haircut, failing to ask any questions or ensure he understood my preferences. The entire haircut was maybe 10 minutes, if even that long. The result was a subpar cut that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated despite giving the exact same instructions on my first visit.
What's most concerning is that this experience felt like a cheap, rushed haircut - not the quality I expect from a professional barber nor was it even the same experience I had on my first visit. I understand that everyone has off days, but consistency is key in this industry.
It’s such a disappointment to have to look for a new barber. I will not...
