Came here a few times when visiting my Jewish cousins in the neighborhood. We r from Delaware so this was quite the experience for us. It was very crowded, people rushing around everywhere. It’s a nice store with great selections. The staff don’t talk much but it’s a wonderful place. Parking is a no go thankfully my mom drove because I would have had a stroke in that tight ass lot. It’s a lot of fun to visit different stores and get out of the country like we live in. What a great place to come if ur Jewish .

Good prices and products. This store has low prices on basic household products and produce, and regular prices on all other items. The store is quite small and the isles are always a hassel to get through. The managers are very helpful and work really hard to keep the lines moving and making it a pleasurable experience for everyone. If you want to save a couple of dollars go here.

Sorry but have to lower the 5 star rating from 5 years ago to a 1 star for the following reasons: - Prices are the highest in the community - produce is of inferior quality - customer complains are at times disregarded or laughed at by the management. Example: See photos attached of walnuts recently purchased. About a third was infested with insects and spoiled

I've been shopping at Empire Kosher since it opened. It's a welcome breath of fresh air, being the first true supermarket with full-sized grocery carts, decent lighting, and wider aisles for the kosher consumer in Crown Heights. The quality is reliable and the folks who work there always make sure that if they have something on my list, they will help me find it. What has also been exceptionally great lately is their willingness to work with their customers during COVID shutdowns. Their minimum for free deliveries is lower than the minimum for the other (more recently opened) kosher supermarket in Crown Heights. They have also gone above and beyond, making a same-day delivery recently when I was a little past the day's timing deadline for deliveries, when they saw I had told them we are on quarantine due to having a COVID patient in the house. This is in October, not when everyone was shut down in April and forward! They were very kind and made sure I knew the order was coming today (since I had expected them to not fill my order until tomorrow). The delivery staff is kind about handling the boxes carefully and promptly: ice cream came still...

On the plus side, the store has a wide variety of Kosher products. Also, their prices are relatively reasonable, and they have some very good sales. On the other hand, the produce isn't always very good, and there is no working scale to weigh it, making it very hard to shop on a budget. Additionally, on many items there is no price even written, making it nearly impossible to know how much it would cost. Something which really bothers me is that the cash registers keep ringing up items for the wrong price. Almost every time there is something that rings up more than it should be, and I end up overpaying. I shouldn't have to keep track of the prices of everything I'm purchasing just because their machines are constantly making errors.

Edit: after going back to the store the vegetable scale has been...

Was just in the store today. I spent over $20 on non-flyer items and was still not given sale price on sale items. Very deceptive, as the screen showed sale price but on my receipt and my total shows I paid full regular price. Buyer beware. Also, their selection is not very extensive when you compare to the supermarkets in Boro Park, Flatbush etc.

My review maintains its 1 Star for completely unrelated incident with the delivery boy. Delivery box rang our bell and door was opened 35 seconds later. When I asked if he can lift the box to bring it in, he lied that he was waiting outside for 10 minutes, not sure why I tipped him after that. I have video camera footage of how long exactly he was...
