These are the slides from this company HOKA THAT I am reviewing. This company claims to have the best footwear for the health of your feet, back and knees. However has anyone checked how toxic the rubber is that they use to make these shoes ? Thats just one thing. The second thing is these slides. 60.00 bucks a pair and you think your getting a quality pair of slides when all your getting is a toxic glob of rubber of which your wearing on your feet absorbing all the toxins from from the shoe, into your body , from the the bottom of your feet! 3, picture this one. You’re spending two days camping at the beach. Two beautiful sunny days and everything is great. You take your new slides because after all thats why you bought them, right? First day you get up early , get down to the beach, and spend the whole day in the water , the sun, enjoying right? Come time to leave and get back to the camper to shower and head out to dinner, only to find that the only pair of shoes you have are those new HOKA slides you just bought. You put your feet into them and for some strange reason, they don’t fit. You think whats going on here? Now you have no shoes to go anywhere because the new hoka slides you bought all of a sudden SHRUNK! Yes I said SHRUNK! I call the company and basically they admitted their slides shrink because of the material used to make them. I said, why was I not alerted that infomation when I purchased the 4 pair ? One obviously for myself. Why was I not alerted that these shoes cannot be in the sun otherwise they will SHRINK in size???? What the hell do these people think I’m gonna wear them in the winter??? Their open shoes!!! I asked for a refund and or exchange for the one time wear . And I’m told after two days of calls and texts being switched to different departments that they are not under warranty. 😳 What the hell is going on in this world today??? And is this what people are now excepting to be NORMAL?? ?!! This happening is nothing other than totally absurd! Since when does your sandals , pool shoes, beach wear freaking SHRINK IN THE SUN??!? I basically ended up taking the other three pair I purchased for my three kids as well as my shrunken pair and threw them in the garbage. I wrote them off as a HUGE LEARNING EXPERIENCE. I also will not stop telling my story that this company HOKA is deceiving every single one of their customers who support them and buy their disgusting crappy toxic products. It is an incredible disservice this company is doing to their customers. I know I am not the only one who was taken advantage of . And I know I wont be the last because people today are walking around with blinders on just excepting what ever is being thrown at them by these creepy corporations . The only way it all stops! Is when WE STOP SUPPORTING THEM! I know I’m done! The rest is up to you. Remember their not only made out of crap that shrinks , but they are also toxic material . ...
Read moreWhat a sad experience but HOKA don't care! Been wanting to buy a pair of these sneakers for a while. After visiting Hoka website, I felt excited and motivated to go buy my first pair. When entered the Flat Iron store in NYC around 6pm yesterday evening, I was not greeted or offered assistance. Mind you - I do not know anything about this company's shoes but I believe in importance of customer service. I walked up to an employee who SEEMED to work there. He i told him i dont know anything about HOKA shoes and needed assistance. He said anyone there could help me so i asked him. Clearly he was just a salesperson who doesnt know anything about the company's shoeline and is definately not a runner. After he pointed out the shoes I picked up one in general and asked for my two usual sizes and he called someone to retrieve it. The was a color I liked and when i looked at the shoe in the box i asked the retriever what happen to the shoe color I selected he asked the salesperson. The salesperson obviously didnt know the different shoes Hoka sales but replied "I thought that was the shoe you asked for" I figure Hoka employs salespeople to guess what the customer likes. Then when the retriever returned with the next shoes he brought me a size two sizes bigger. I just laughed and walked out. Nearby Nike and New Balance store offers better customer service. If they dont have your shoe size in-store they will order it and expedite shipping to you. They understand customer service where HOKA Store Flat Iron, NYC does not. My friend so happened to call me and informed to walk a few blocks to JackRabbits/FleetFeet on 14st. The ady who attented me was very courteous and knowledgeable about their store's inventory. She brought me the only HOKA Arahi 6 they had in my size. Although the store didnt have a variety of colors in my shoe size, they were polite and helpful. Retailer's understand the importance of customer service where HOKA Store Flat Iron,...
Read moreOne of the WORST experiences I’ve had in a sports store. I was so looking forward to visiting from London. I’ve been a huge fan of HOKA for years, and was pleased to see it was the official sponsor of an Ironman triathlon race I participated in recently. However, based off my experience in the NYC store, I will no longer be supporting HOKA as a brand.
There was absolutely no stock. My brother asked for a running shoe, which only was available in two sizes. The women’s selection of running trainers was terrible. The staff were extremely rude and unpleasant. They clearly knew nothing about the brand, and certainly from their lack of knowledge, would have put customers off the brand.
Because of the dreadful environment, I did not buy anything. I had been set on buying a pair of trainers for my future races..
Note to the manager at this store: what are you doing? You have the opportunity to manage a hugely exciting space in the heart of NYC - a place where keen athletes as well as casual wearers of the brand should feel welcome. I hope HOKA steps in as soon as possible. Shame on this store! Don’t bother coming in, you’re better off ordering online. In fact, I would suggest another brand altogether - other sports brands are far more competent in managing stores and customer service. What poor...
