I've been here three times now trying to find a good local barber shop. I don't understand why other people can get nice cuts or their barbers are all excited and really invested in giving cuts. Every time I've come in, the barber I get is like low energy and seems to just go through the motions. I ask for something simple - fade down to a 1 on the sides and just trim up the top with scissors. Every time I get absolutely no fade. Just look at the pictures from my cut. What is this? It's horrendous. The barber took 10 minutes to just cut, lined the edges, and charged me $31. I don't know what magic relationship I need to build to get a fade or a skilled barber. I will not be coming here again. Also who is still cash-only these days? I understand charge a percentage more for credit card but absolutely no option than cash? Not even venmo cashapp or any electronic option? It's 2022

Loved the cut Milana gave me. It's clear that this shop doesn't do a lot of short cuts on ladies, but when I decided to give it a shot and walked in, they took on the challenge in stride. The only advice I'd give us to learn a little more about styling on Black women, specifically. It was clear that everyone was familiar which with my hair texture, but as far as style, black women have a few distinctions to make them more feminine, like not usually razor edging, or emphasizing the temples. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised - the technicality and precision were on point! If you're going to get a part cut into your hair, make sure they use a comb and draw it on first - mine looked great!

So this was my first time going to a non black barber, I was suspicious as to weather they would trim me up good. I walked in and it was a very welcoming energy, bright and inviting. They boffer complimentary coffee, seltzer, beer, and whiskey. I got trimmed up by Franky at station five and he was great I loved it and I’m switching barbers. Got a great fade in under an hour, feel great and it only cost me $35…. Remember to tip your barber.

George’s Barbershop is a gem, and Ralph is the standout barber who makes every visit worth it. Ralph has a natural talent for understanding exactly what you need, even if you walk in unsure of how to describe the cut you want. He’s incredibly skilled and efficient, yet never rushes through a haircut.

What really sets Ralph apart is his attention to your personal style. He asks thoughtful questions and gives honest feedback, making sure the final result suits you perfectly. Whether it’s a sharp professional look or something more relaxed, Ralph nails it every time.

The shop itself has a great vibe—clean, organized, and with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Ralph’s calm and easygoing personality adds to the experience. It’s clear he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that energy is infectious.

For anyone searching for a barber who combines expertise, creativity, and great customer service, Ralph at George’s Barbershop is the one to book. You won’t be...

So this place has been tempting me with Yelp ads since I started at my new office. I had resisted as it wasn't right right next to the office. I sadly couldn't keep going to my old place due to my work schedule. My heart was broken Hah.

However, I finally caved and came in and I'm so glad I did. There was no wait. Just immediately plopped down in a chair. I was expecting a wait before the holidays. My hair had become pretty short trying out one or two other barbers looking for a better fit with my new schedule. They were still able to work their magic.

I had seen all the notes about offering whiskey and beer and was actually slightly bummed I didn't get to experience this. The shop manager pulled me aside after the cut and asked if I wanted some bourbon. Score. Still got something to warm me up for the winter.

I will absolutely return. I've been converted. This one is for all y'all non Yelp users. I don't want you...

On Monday June 6,2022 after being turned away at the 475 5th Ave. location I then went to George's 2 on 78th 5th Ave. When I walked in I was greeted by everyone. A barber named Mark then asked me what I wanted and I showed him the same picture on my cell phone he said he can do it, I told him I really appreciate it, I then told him a little bit about the incident at the 1st George's and he was very sympathetic about my situation, and told me they don't discriminate there and he would be more than happy to cut my hair, Mark made sure to tell me how beautiful my hair was. He went on to say George's cut everyone’s hair no matter their hair type race or religion. He explained and showed me what he was going to do step by step. He did an excellent job! He exceeded my expectations and my hair looks exactly like the picture on my phone. He said he wasn't supposed to work that day but I'm so...
