Read moreSo this place has been tempting me with Yelp ads since I started at my new office. I had resisted as it wasn't right right next to the office. I sadly couldn't keep going to my old place due to my work schedule. My heart was broken Hah.
However, I finally caved and came in and I'm so glad I did. There was no wait. Just immediately plopped down in a chair. I was expecting a wait before the holidays. My hair had become pretty short trying out one or two other barbers looking for a better fit with my new schedule. They were still able to work their magic.
I had seen all the notes about offering whiskey and beer and was actually slightly bummed I didn't get to experience this. The shop manager pulled me aside after the cut and asked if I wanted some bourbon. Score. Still got something to warm me up for the winter.

Read moreOn Monday June 6,2022 after being turned away at the 475 5th Ave. location I then went to George's 2 on 78th 5th Ave. When I walked in I was greeted by everyone. A barber named Mark then asked me what I wanted and I showed him the same picture on my cell phone he said he can do it, I told him I really appreciate it, I then told him a little bit about the incident at the 1st George's and he was very sympathetic about my situation, and told me they don't discriminate there and he would be more than happy to cut my hair, Mark made sure to tell me how beautiful my hair was. He went on to say George's cut everyone’s hair no matter their hair type race or religion. He explained and showed me what he was going to do step by step. He did an excellent job!
