My 18 year old Daughter was introduced to Guido Venitucci by a mutual business associate. My daughter is going off to college in the fall and is majoring in Acting; she needed new head-shots. We were encouraged to bring 3-5 outfits, with different colors combination possibilities, tops and bottoms (separates) pants, shorts, skirts whatever we had, and the tops to be bright cheerful colors with no patterns or designs, as is the industry standard with any professional head shot. We brought 5 outfit combos with a couple of jean jackets. Trust me when I say I don't think this was enough.
We gave Guido and his assistant (makeup and hair designer) a brief explanation of what we were looking for, and Guido just took off with it and turned her session into a dance party/photo op, there was music, (the kind my daughter likes) snacks, and of course the wardrobe changes.
Youâd think photography would be boring, just sitting around waiting for it all to be over so we can get on with our lives. But with Guido, it was so much fun and very exciting for me to see him work. The energy and expertise he brought to this session made the 2 hours we were there fly by, and by the time we got there he had already had at least 2 other sessions (that we know of).
There was not one moment that we felt he wasn't doing his best, or that it was too stressful or he was asking the impossible of her, and he never made her feel like she wasn't doing her best to capture the picture "he" wanted, he made this session about her and what she wanted, and was able to guide her to the right poses and facial expressions to get her there - without her even knowing in some instances.
Guido has such a great eye for color combinations and is able to foresee the correct positions and facial expressions to create the look we wanted, and he does it in such a way to make you feel comfortable and natural. If something isn't working, he just switches gears and tries something else, he finds the balance in the environment, colors, expressions, posture, and lighting - then brings the whole look/image to realization for the viewer in one beautiful picture. It was so refreshing to see my daughter "unwound" and relaxed in a photo session. I was so impressed by the way he handled the entire session from beginning to end. He is absolutely amazing!
If you need any professional photography done any time in the near future I would absolutely hands down recommend Guido for the job without even a split second hesitation. I would travel the 6 hours to have Guido do photos at his studio in New York if he couldn't come to us. I have attached a handful of my favorites to share with you.
I hope this review has helped you in making your photography decision and I wish you...
Read moreAs a proud mom of two young performers, I can't express enough how grateful I am to have had the privilege of working with Guido. From the moment we stepped into his studio, it was clear that we were in the hands of a true profession who deeply understands the needs and personalities of child performers.
Guido not only delivered incredible headshots that captured the essence of my children's talent, but also created an environment where they felt important and valued throughout the entire session. This experience went far beyond just taking pictures; it was a true collaboration and a memory my children will cherish forever.
From the onset, Guido did not try to upsell us. He took the time to get to know my kids, their personalities, and the unique qualities that make them shine. This personal touch was evident in the final photographs, as each shot beautifully highlighted their individuality and charisma.
One of the standout qualities of Guido was his ability to connect with the kids on their level and bring out the best in my kids, capturing genuine expressions that truly showcased their unique personalities. My kids each felt at ease and empowered throughout the session and it was heartwarming to watch.
The headshots that we received (within 48 hours of taking the pictures) were nothing short of stunning. Beyond Guido's technical skills, he is a true professional who is punctual and communicative and made the entire process seamless from scheduling to delivering the final images. I wholeheartedly recommend Guido to any parent looking for a headshot photographer; he'll make your child feel seen, important, and valued while delivering...
Read moreI love working with Guido! He is very professional and creates a personable environment. I quickly felt comfortable as we talked about the kind of "teen" looks we were going for and roughly how the shoot was going to go. Guido took my headshots a few years ago and when I needed to update my pictures post-pandemic he was the first person that came to mind. He has a great sense of humor and it feels like working with a friend. His easy going nature was key to me feeling relaxed in front of the camera. He encouraged to me to move around and not wait for him to direct, so it felt quite natural, with the occasional âchin downâ :) He was encouraging and kept up conversation throughout the shoot, it seemed like he was effortlessly capturing my personality on camera. He showed me how the pictures were coming out as the shoot went on and as we switched backgrounds and outfits. He has such a great eye for those expressions that translate well on camera, able to capture the perfect moment. When we were finished I didnât feel like I had been working. He felt confident that we had many shots to choose from, and when I saw the gallery it was nearly impossible to narrow down my favorites. We had a great range of theatrical/legit and commercial shots. Guido made taking headshots such a fun experience and I am extremely happy with the results as usual. I would definitely recommend him for...
