The staff is very professional. Azad was friendly, responsive, and accommodating to your schedule. I work full time (9-5) and was able to take 5 hour in-class lesson and my driving lessons around my work schedule. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with the schools and would recommend the school to anyone who is looking to learn driving and prepare for the driving test.
In addition to the the professionalism, I recommend the school based on my observations on the following three criteria: 1)Price 2)5 Hour In-Class Lesson 3)Driving Lessons
1)Price The driving school has various packages and individual classes. All the packages and individual classes are fairly priced.
You can go for a five hour package or a ten hour package based on your skill level. Each package includes the five hour in-class lesson, driving lesson, and car for the test day.
Also, you can choose to only take the 5 hour in-class lesson if you already know driving and feel that you can pass the test without the help from the instructor.
The school also has individual lessons available if you only need to take one or two lessons.
2)5 Hour In-Class Lesson Their five hour in-class lesson is taught by a very knowledgeable instructor. I actually thought this class helped me feel more confident even prior to me starting the driving lessons.
3)Driving Lessons The lessons are taught by knowledgeable instructors. The cars the school uses are all new and clean. The driving instructors teach you safe driving skills and techniques to pass the driving test.
The lessons actually teach you safe driving techniques so you are safe even after passing the driving exam (Remember, passing the driving test is not the end; you actually need to be able to drive on your own after passing the test).
The school sends you a reminder text the day before your appointment so you do not forget to go to your lessons. Also, they send a reminder before the test day ( and remind you to bring your learners permit and certificate) so you have everything ready for...
Read moreTo start with, thanks to the effort and time of Mamon vai, Majid vai, Azad vai and Shahida di. They are probably the best in the town. I got to them with only 4 days remaining for my road test (My fourth one though but first with them). Day 1 Mamon Vai looked into my previous scoresheets and corrected my turns and my parkings, and all. He took out pen and paper to make me understand my mistakes and to perfect my turns and parking. Day 1 was like a booster. Day 2 he made me practice to perfect my observation skills. Day 3 Majid Vai was a bit more technical. He pin-pointed me to the mistakes I was making, and how I may loose points (even the exact number, which I could relate from my previous failed tests). He corrected those with ease. Day 4 was with Shahida di. She was also very calming and was teaching me all last minute technicalities, required for driving. Day 5 (D Day) ... My test was at Cunningham park at 8.30 AM. Azad Vai picked me up and drove me to the test. He was a very calmimg personality. He never allows exam pressure to creep on you till the last moment on the test. I passed and it was like a big brother waiting for me to give me a warm hug of achievement. They make you super confident and always welcome you with a smile. I live in Plainview. But I think my decision to travel all the way to Jackson Heights (1.5 hrs travel, since I was using public transit) was worth. Also I thank their front desk. They are also very welcoming. Last note, they teach you such technicalities, that you not only pass the road-test, but you can use them in everyday driving, they will always come...
Read moreI booked one lesson and car rental for the road test. The lesson was mostly to get comfortable with the car and driving here in the US for the first time (and the last time I'd driven had been 5 years ago). The administrative staff is very friendly and they had availability for my road test date and time.
My road test was scheduled for 8:30am but I was there with the instructor and car at 7:50 and we were just the third car in the queue, which was perfect because there were 3 examiners on that day and I didn't have to wait past my scheduled time.
One thing to watch out for is that during my lesson the instructor taught me a "safe" way for parallel parking by first aligning the mirror with the door handle of the front door. I tried that on the test day because I wanted to be on the safe side but the examiner told me that I had to align mirror to mirror at least. Luckily I knew how to park, but I imagine the way the school or instructor teach the maneuver should be adjusted because it's not universally accepted by examiners and beginner students may fail because of the requirement.
After the test the staff even messaged me later in the day with congratulations for passing the test, which was unexpected but a positive sign that the school cares about providing a good customer service.
I don't have much to say about the instructor but he had good intentions. There was a bit of a language barrier sometimes and it was hard to understand his accent but everything worked out in the end.
I recommend this driving school and I'd use their services again...
