I was a patient at King Harbor Multicare Center for about a month, my stay there was very pleasant, all the staff members were really friendly and cordial. All recreational areas, offices, therapy room and all floors in general from the building were always clean and fresh. It truly was a pleasure to see how everyone in this place from Doctors, nurses, social workers etc, to house keeping, security staff members and everyone make you feel like home, it honestly was very easy to go through the rough time of being away from your loved ones because everyone would always give you a smile or have a nice word of encouragement or wisdom for you. My only uncomfortable situation was with a kitchen staff member who when to my room to confront me because i constantly ask for cereal, jello or simply to have my food tray change for something else because most of the time the food wasn’t good at all, they would put carrot on my plate even though they knew I was allergic to it because the dietitian write it on my chart or simply my menu would said I was getting something completely different to what they serve me and this happens constantly not only to me but to other patients too. Despite This uncomfortable situation I would love to thanks Mr Isaias Fret Director of marketing who took the time to go see me when I was still in the hospital to welcome me to King Harvor and talk to me about what I could expect from the center before I became a pt there, something that really make me feel comfortable at the moment to decide to go there. To all the staff members from 5 East, to Dr. Gupta for always treat your patients with kindness and respect we really need more physicians like you on the field 🤗my beautiful nurses and nurses assistant, Ms. White, Ms. Carol Lewis, Ms. Campbell, Ms. Romain Williams, Ms. Ruth Fong, and the rest of the staff ( I can remember all the names sorry) for all the hard work you do day by day to provide the best of care with love, empathy, compassion and respect for every single patient you take care of, thank you so so much, you guys are the best, God bless you all. And last but not leas, my wonderful, amazing and incredible PT, OT and transporter team always going the extra mile for your patients, going to the rooms to get them to make sure the pt get all the help the need to better and improve they quality of life, specially to my beautiful Ms. Maria PT and Ms. Brown OT for never give up on me and even when I wasn’t having a good day always make sure to work with me, you will always find a way and thanks to you my life is almost back to normal ( still working hard) special thanks to Mr Mike ( for that special coffee that always put at smile 😊 on my face and help me finish my therapy sessions, you are the best) Mr Green (VERNON) 🤣🤣 for your great mood all the time ( be careful with Betty 🤣🤣) and Mr Godwin ( because God always wins) thanks to all the amazing staff from King Harvor Multicare center, you are truly the best in what you do and because of all of you this place is one in a million. Read moreMy brother J. Francomano has recently been released from Kings Harbor, after spending the last three months there for rehabilitation. He is in his fifties and had undergone a leg amputation due to complications of Diabetes. Because this happened through Covid times, he had really been through "HELL." Kings Harbor was the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. After his first three days at Kings Harbor, they realized he needed a blood transfusion because his blood count was low. He was sent back to the hospital where he unfortunately contracted Covid. Because of the CDC guidelines at that time, he was unable to return with a positive Covid test. He was sent to a horrible nursing home (Terrence Cardinal Cooke) in Manhattan . Because he was a dialysis patient and Covid positive that was his only choice. It is there where he fell out of bed and reopened his entire incision. He was then sent to another hospital. I apologize for this long story, but I want you to know just how frustrated we all were, and to what lengths Kings Harbor went to to help my brother return.. Thanks to the efforts of the Social Workers, Cathy and Jessica, eventually with a negative test result they were able to get him transferred back. With so many new guidelines to follow and not being able to see anyone in person, it was so nice to have such helpful and pleasant people to help. My brother has come a long way thanks to Danny"s team of therapists. A special thank you to Mike and Fred for preparing him to be as independent as he is. Also, thank you so much to Tina and the Dialysis team for taking great care of him through some really tough times and for your continued care as he attends Kings Harbor for Dialysis as an outpatient. My family would sincerely like to thank all of you at Kings Harbor for your excellent care! Right down to the Dietician , Irena. My brother may have been a little difficult with his food choices but Irena was very accommodating. If you are looking for a good place to send your loved one, I would certainly recommend Kings Harbor. Just be patient with the new visitation policies because they are put in place for the safety of your loved...
Read moreI would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation to the staff and caregivers at this facility. My mother, E. Smith, was a resident on the 4th Floor for four months, and I can confidently state that the care provided was exemplary. The staff treated her with the utmost kindness and attention. In particular, I would like to acknowledge several outstanding individuals who provided exceptional care: Jennifer Smith, Janelle Burell, Nicole Mintoe, Ms. Fraser, Ms. Mohammed, and Ms. Rogers. These dedicated professionals ensured that my mother was always adequately prepared for her daily activities. The nursing team, comprising Nurse Manager Babbs, Nurse Manager Rose Mason, and Nurse Figueroa, ensured that my mother received attentive and compassionate care. Their meticulous approach was truly commendable, and my mother expressed appreciation for their diligence. Nurse Zenray consistently oversaw the completion of her morning routines. I would also like to highlight Ms. Keva, who maintained my mother’s living area in excellent condition; my mother frequently remarked on the cleanliness of her surroundings. Additionally, I must mention Ms. Ruth Fong and Erica, who ensured that my mother had everything she required for her comfort. The entire staff on the 4th Floor provided outstanding support to my sister and me during our visits, ensuring that all aspects of our mother's care were satisfactory. The rehabilitation staff, specifically Andre and Brian, motivated my mother to actively engage in her therapy sessions. Ms. Joan, the activities manager, consistently integrated my mother into participatory activities and special events, thereby enhancing her involvement and engagement. While I recognize that I may not have captured every individual who contributed to my mother’s positive experience, it is evident that the staff on the 4th Floor is remarkable in their commitment to residents, patients, and their families. We are immensely grateful for the support we received. Sharon& Elaine...
