Kings Plaza Shopping Center — Attraction in New York

First things first this mall is extremely inconvenient for those who have strollers or need wheel chair access. There is literally one elevator I was so extremely disappointed going around the whole mall looking for an elevator to only find ONE… literally every store I visited I got terrible customer service and the workers were EXTREMELY RUDE.. never been to a mall with soo many rude workers. Only nice workers was one worker in the cookie shop and the vendors in the middle of the mall.

I don’t recommend this mall unless you have to it’s also extremely far unless your from the area and looks ugly and dingy to be honest.

I first went in Primark I love this store but the customer service terrible. The lady at the register legit rang my items & she didn’t ring up the pants to a 2 piece Christmas pajama. The store was a mess but I’m sure that was the people and the lines are always so long.

Zara people changing right infront of everyone and stealing and then other customers getting treated terrible and getting pushed out the store while all that drama is happening…

In H&M.. I went running to shop quick since I knew they’d be closing soon but I checked time to make sure I go in before it closes which is was literally 40 min before closing when I first approached (mall was closing at 7/8pm that day don’t really remember but I knew I had enough time) and the security nicely told us we couldnt go in so I asked him if i could speak to someone or a manager because there was still plenty of people browsing and I still had 30-40 min to shop. the man who was apparently the manager told us no we couldn’t come in that they closed already and that the registers where closed too.. yet no one was at the register. But ppl waiting online to pay but a lot of people browsing. I was so mad.. Then i was going to walk away till I saw him let this couple go in. so I walked back n told him that was unfair n I still had time to shop quick since I knew what I needed. The man told me extremely nasty and aggressively that he wasn’t going to fight with me about trying to shop and told me to hurry up & that I just better be done by the time they close. mind you theres legit ppl browsing around not even walking to the register. TERRIBLE The store is a hot mess very unorganized and things everywhere.

Then I go into ulta to get my baby bag from my sister n I knew it was almost 8pm but I wasn’t shopping n this lady jumps at the door to tell the security guard “don’t be letting no one in idc wth anyone says tired of this bs…

There’s barely any places for food and all the food places looks nasty and the Dunkin was disgusting so beat up like it was vandalized. I was so in shock. got a coffee & snacks tasted old and they barely had anything from the menu. And if they did tasted old

The bathrooms omg even WORSE. I know the cleaning lady tried but ppl are just nasty it Smelled atrocious and looked horrible. Thank god there was a family room that people with no family were using making it nasty. But I was able to atleast use that and my stroller in actually fit inside. & btw the bathroom is ALLLLL THE WAY on the other side of the mall by the food so you know how bad it smelled in that area.

I will never go back to this mall or recommend anyone to go to this mall. I get working retail is extremely hard especially during the holidays but these people were extremely nasty without even giving you a chance to even be nice...

Went to Cohen Fashion Optical. Purchase a pair of new glasses in July. Sales help very professional. Ask for Dion (female) lol. I came back because the tint for the Sun was not applied to my lense. It was done on the spot. So now I'm good to go.

10/27/21 This review has been updated. Unfortunately, my above review started out as 5 stars, but now I have to change my rating to 1 star, only because a zero is not shown. Staff friendly as stated before, but be careful when making your transaction. Something fishy about how Cohen transact your purchase with your Health Plan card. I suggest before purchasing new glasses, check with your Health Plan as to what you are entitled to with co-pay.This way you will know if you are being charge an inflated amount. I only became aware when I got home and called my member service and found out that my claim was put through an out of the network provider whom I never seen located across Flatbush Ave from the mall (General Vision). My health plan is with Healthfirst 65 Hmo. Member Service informed me that the claim was sent from Cohen for frames only in which HF gave me a discount of $100 in which they allow for Fashion frames. The claim should have been sent under Cohen/Davis Vision which covers frames along with the add-ons, for progressive lens which would have cost me $634 with the frames. Without the frames, my cost would've been $235. So why did Cohen make it seem that my eyes was examined and the purchase was made at General Vision? That's why HF originally denied the claim. Therefore, my glasses had a large inflated amount charged to me which ended opening up a promo loan from Alphaeon Credit for S1000. I since cancelled that loan and now the case is in the hands of the Investigation Team. The Mgr. of Cohen needs to send the claim back into Healthfirst.

Recently, in lobby of a clinic, a total stranger and I started talking. By coincidence, the subject was on eyeglasses. I found out the lady went to Cohen and purchased her eyeglasses, same thing happened to her. The glasses ended up costing her more than her plan allotted her for....

Be careful of this place. I used to come here all the time and hang out with my friends here when we were high schoolers (teenagers). Many students did too and rarely were there troublemakers, but the past years, I notice this place has gotten worse and worse. I don't know how there's so many positive reviews here so maybe my experience is just paranoia and case-by-case scenario but so many of my friends who are also native Brooklyn people told me so much bad stuff happening in this place. The young folks and even older folks who chill here now have no filter. If you get harassed, you get harassed. You can even get robbed, mugged, or if someone is doing some one-off dangerous stunt, you could be seriously injured; watch those TikTok videos and IG Reels that are posted everywhere. It's ridiculous.

The last time I went here in broad daylight to pick up a gaming console at Best Buy, I was so paranoid that I bagged it in a super thick bedsheet and had 2 male friends with me. I was patroning Kings Plaza since I was a kid in the 90s. This mall made huge improvements aesthetically and even offer a good variety of stores, but it no longer feels safe here. If you ask me if I'd ever come here again, I wouldn't...
