In the Mood for a Marvelous Massage-Refresh Spa is the place!! I have another masseuse that I go to, but since Refresh Spa opened nearby it’s been more convenient. Then the second time I went I got Peter and he did a great job. Since then I request Peter as he knows what he is doing . I been having a heel problem and each time I go he remembers and massages that particular spot. It would appear between the massages and the chiropractor that it maybe getting better. Hopefully as it is painful especially when walking or standing. On occasions the masseuses who are not with a client talk too loud in the back, but apart from that the place is very clean and very relaxing. The receptionist is pleasant as well. Their prices are comparable, only thing you get charged extra if you use your card as opposed to cash, so walk with cash. I highly recommend Refresh Spa for great massages.

This is my go to massage place! They are so welcoming every time ( the lady in the front is so nice) Peaceful and relaxing. Every masseuse has been good, but I finally found one that catered exactly to my needs, and that is Coco! Hits all the spot you need and remembers it for the next visit as well. This will and has been my go to massage place in this area! Pricing is also great!

My massage with Mike (foot) and Coco (body) were much needed before my vacationā˜ŗļø. I’ve been nursing a back pain for a week now and loved every moment of my experience. Second time coming and it did not disappoint at all. I will be coming back next month. Thank you Refresh Spa.

I did not ask for name of staff I was assigned, I will not be returning. I still tipped and kept it professional. Maybe that’s their style of doing things but if you are looking for a good foot massage, I would check for reviews with staff remember recommendations and their names. I was assigned a female staff and usually ask for male since worried not getting a firm experience but I’ve been to other places that women staff have done great application of pressure and deep massage, so I was open, maybe this was my mistake.

The body part was way better than the foot! If you want a relaxed soft massage then this is for you. I do not, I go for rigid upper back and for a firm foot massage.

The foot part was ridiculous, like just going up and down my leg with zero pressure. And trying to look as if she was busy at it, I get it if staff are overworked this can happen. But her foot massage was Like not even handshake grip, made me wonder if she was tired or maybe suffers from issues like carpel tunnel. She did give some attention when she used her knuckles but for the top part of foot that felt decent but then she stopped and no grip on my upper foot or middle foot or lower foot . Very odd and half way I spoke up that this was too soft and if she can apply more pressure. She understood but went from zero touch to 100 and abrasive but only for a minute and then went back to the soft touch routine. Idk if she didn’t like that I said something but even then no real application of thumbs or pressure really bizarre.

The body was way better and she used her elbows but still regular massage, and then she would go full elbow and pressure on the upper arms maybe since softer and easier for her elbow to focus there. Weird maybe if I had muscle there but I just have thin arms.

I’m used to massage places in nyc moving your underwear down but this felt like way down like below butt cheek lol but I get different customs just something to prepare,

Also during the foot, you could tell she wanted to end early /stop so she spent like 5 minutes using a towel to wipe the lotion from feet and legs and then did the regular strong taps several times waiting for the timer to start. Oh and then she had extra time so to void massage at that point she used towel to pretend to give attention to my toes and it was like dry towel hurting skin since the lotion has already been wiped off.

It was only me and another client getting foot massages so the front desk should be checking on their staff. Other idea is more training maybe or if their hands hurt I don’t mind a small stone for pressure on feet like scrape that they could use if they cannot use...

New to NY and wanted this to be my new spot so badly. After spending several months in Southeast Asia and having amazing massage spots in California, I'm a bit picky.

We texted for an appointment for two and all seemed fine. When we arrived it was clear they dont pay attention to reservations as no one was available for us. We waited in the room without our clothes for about 20 minutes before they came rushing in. They didn't ask our pressure preferences or anything.

To be fair, my massage was actually really good. My husband said his was good but a bit painful, even after asking her to ease up a bit.

Here's why I wouldn't come back. The lady at reception came back to our room and had a conversation with our therapists through the curtain twice. The first time I thought they were talking to me and I jumped up. We paid to relax and her trying to have a conversation through the curtain was very irritating and NOT relaxing for us. Customers came in speaking so loudly (seems to be a NY thing in spas. It's very strange people don't whisper, it's very inconsiderate). Usually the people working will whisper back so they realize they should also keep their conversation to a minimum and keep it quiet, but no, they just scream talked back. It was not very zen.

Lastly, they kept us face down for the entire hour even though we asked/paid for a full body massage. Both of us had sore jaws from laying with our heads in the hole for so long.

I feel like the place has potential. The therapist was really good for the most part, the place is clean, and prices are good but they need to figure out how to provide a...

Overall, not very great experience. The message quality, service, and vibe were not great. My friend and I love to go for a message when we have a chance, no matter stay at home or during travels. And this was my worst experience.

We got there for our appointment around 9ish at night time. We were asked to pay full amount + tips ahead of the service as I assumed the cashier planned to leave the store ahead of time. The background music within the store was managed poorly. Assuming their music service was not paid by package, we heard 30 good seconds of the ads during our back message. When the message was over, the masseuses left the room without closing the curtain properly. The quality was generally not that great. For instance, tremendous amount of time was spent on pressing the back, (meanwhile, I did not have the time to breathe properly and the pressure really hurts a lot for pressing so many times.) I thought about why this techniques was overused during this message was that they want to spend less effort during the whole process. As you press down for some time, your hands barely need to move(only body weight...
