Smith Gourmet Deli — Restaurant in New York

Bad attitude and poor service. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars in this place which is on my way home, and tonight they wouldn’t sell me a $3.50 drink on my credit card when I didn’t have cash. $5.00 minimum, he said, even after everything I have bought in there over the years. Well, that’s the last dollar they’ll ever get out of me. Places like this are all about the bottom line. I miss the days of the old NY where you actually knew the people you saw every day at the deli. I’m not a cash machine, I’m a person. What was he going to lose, 50 cents? 7/1/23 - I’ve had an issue in the past of a wrong order, not only did they remember from 8 months prior, but they ensured our orders were correct. Glad to know that service is always at the forefront of this deli. Thank you to the team at Smith Gourmet!

I like this Deli ( Bodega !) Alot.. friendly with quality well prepared sandwiches and salads. The deli counter is displayed well and super friendly .I almost always see an NYPD officer or two in here and it's right in the heart of a cool and friendly area of Brooklyn.
